  1. I have been with State Farm since I started riding. They were the only insurance group not trying to break me when I was 21 and started riding. Last quote I got was a 2010 CBR1000RR (new in 2010) and it was only $50/month with tickets and a near total on a car on the record. Pretty solid and has always been good on claims.

  2. Good vids, I need to stop by and say hi. I may be looking for a Goldwing 1800 one of these days, do you ever have one in inventory?

While we almost always have at keast one in stock, we just sold the final one and about to install a trike kit on it for the customer before it leaves. When you get ready to make something happen, just shoot me a message with what you are looking for specifically and price range. I'll do whatever I can to find you something. Stop by anytime. I've been gone for a long time and like seeing familiar faces. Don't mind meeting a few new ones as well

My name is Justin Adams and I am officially back in the dealership making deals happen like I always have. I was at Cycle Search/Independent Motorsports from 2006-2011 and during that time formed a great partnership with Ohio Riders even the point of hosting the 5 year anniversary party at our dealership. Glad to be back and look forward having Independent Motorsports back in the mix of things as it always was. Check out this little video we put together.

  4. Fair enough. Maybe next time.

I certainly hope. Ask around, I have always made a good effort to make sure my OR people are well taken care of

"High" pricing is always somewhat of an objective statement. I think a better statement might be that it was just more than what YOU felt a particular bike was worth. Endless variables when looking at a used bike versus buying new. Every situation is unique to it's own and I welcome comparative pricing on anything we sale. Just need to know what it takes to earn your business. It's not always going to work out, just how it goes.

  5. If you're into motorsports to get rich, you might want to re-evaluate the reality of your chosen profession. If you're good, there is plenty of money to be made. "Getting rich off of it" might be overshooting a little. Be beyond average and make beyond average money. Being around dealerships for 9 years, I've seen techs make great money and I've seen them make crap money. Same with sales people.

  6. I didn't see where we were asking anyone to quit their current job. Plenty of people go in and out of the industry. Having 5 years of experience doesn't imply they work for one now, but know their way around. That being said, while you may not know of anyone that is looking to leave, not many advertise the fact they want to leave their job before knowing their next step.

    Still looking people!!

  9. A harley may not be on everyone's todo list, but being that there are a few well rounded riders here on the forum, I thought I would ask. Independent Motorsports is starting to dabble in the leasing of quality used Haley Davidson motorcycles. What would be your thoughts or concerns on something like this?

  10. Independent Motorsports still allowed the bike to be sold later that day on eBay to a third party and at a higher price.

In response to the customer that submitted a bid on eBay for a BMW motorcycle. His bid did not meet the reserve. Another bidder submitted a higher bid and it met the reserve. That bidder then secured the purchase of the bike by paying the $500 via PayPal immediately. The remainder was paid by the winning bidder via wire transfer.

The above statement says I sold the bike at a higher price. The eBay reserve was $10000. I calculated the other total with the bike priced at $9999 so I did sell it for $1 more on eBay.

Yes, I did know that the bike was being auctioned on ebay (it was listed for sale in several places, i.e. CycleTrader, etc.). I bid on the bike last weekend, but my bid didn't meet the reserve price, so I made contact with Steve on Monday. We reached a deal yesterday. Nothing has posted to my credit card yet - I'm thinking Independent Motorsports already canceled the transaction (the deposit amount was only $250 anyway, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it showed up).

We never processed this customer's credit card because the other bidder meet the reserve and secured the purchase with PayPal.

    - Steve
