  1. Damn I totally forgot this happened.
  2. Another vote for Progressive! I'm 23 and I only pay $457/year for my '02 Triumph Speed Triple and that may go down now that I moved back to Ohio.
  3. Way too freaking cold to even want to open the garage.
  4. Sounds good guys, I'll keep an eye here. I now have a job in Columbus, so my meeting place may be a little different. One day sounds good to me too.
  5. I totally hear ya man...now that I have a regular job I can finally schedule things. Although, I may be moving to Columbus in the coming couple of months...which gets me closer to HH!! My Triumph loves the twisties, but I think I need to get the brakes and suspension looked at...13 years and I think stuff is wearing out.
  6. I've never really taken long "just for fun" rides other than sticking to highways and getting to a destination as quick as possible. Plus coming from Southern GA I had barely any twisty roads. So for the 4 years I've ridden unfortunately you can consider me a complete noob when it comes to twisties. I can take a couple corners here and there, but I am just not experienced in the "kiss your butt" corners of Southern Ohio. Aside from that, I know I can ride 400-450 miles a day in the nastiest rain you can throw at me. If it's cold though, I don't have much there to fight it. I have a few good layers, but that's only going to last an hour or so. That's where I need the plug-in heated gear....of which I have none. I am also riding a full naked bike with no protection, that means comfy summers but nasty cool riding,
  7. I'd be up for a ride, depending on what days and obviously what days I can have off work. How many days are we talking from initial meet up to making it back home?
  8. That would have been nice to know before... I applied to join the FB group, but no one has approved me.
  9. I've got no toys unfortunately.
  10. Ok I was out there for 30 minutes after 7pm. Where the heck is everyone? It's still decent riding weather!!! I booked out of there since I was awkwardly standing out front waiting for anyone to come out.
  11. Hey, is anyone going to the Frickers tonight? There is a slight threat of rain, but I still may head up there for a bit.
  12. Dude that sounds freaking awesome!!! I'm totally in! If you need a volunteer to bring food or drinks for each meet I can jump in on that too.
  13. Hey all, I'm long follower of this forum, but hardly know any of you. For those that don't know I'm a semi-professional photographer with a heavy background in action sports ranging from Formula 1, Moto GP, to Honda Grom Racing. I'm all self taught and in constant need of trying new material. Since I know a lot of you have rather interesting and rare bikes I'd like to put my services out there to you guys. For those that are interested, I'd like to do some bike and rider shots that showcase the connection between them. I am willing to travel a bit, I live around the Dayton area. Unfortunately, there is a business side of things, my rates for shoots are dead cheap though. If requested I can make massive billboard sized prints to simple digital downloads, rates will vary on size and detail. With that aside, below are samples of my past works, if you are interested in having a poster of your bike on your living room wall or a new PC wallpaper post here and let me know. This is an on going project with endless possibilities...
  14. Takes me usually an hour to get those seals from my Triumph Airbox to fit on. Bike is coming along great man, can't wait to see it in person!
  15. If only I had the cash man, that's a gorgeous Aprilia. How well does it feel after a few hours of riding, meaning does it tire you out?
  16. Dude that's such a gorgeous bike. I've been wondering if I should sell my '02 Speed Triple and get one of these.
  17. Sorry i missed you guys this past Saturday, I was caught up in family stuff. I may be able to come out this coming one, but I may just be too tired to come.
  18. I'll be at Mid Ohio as a press photographer for a huge Historical racecar event.
  19. I briefly rode a newer '13 S3 and it just seemed on edge all the time, no smoothness to it. I think all that was just me being used to the laggy butter smooth throttle of my current bike. @blueskeyes What year is your Tuono? I don't know much about them so I'll have a million questions.
  20. I'm just sitting here and waiting to see how the Apple competitors develop their products over the next few business quarters. I feel the ones out now aren't polished enough to be worth buying yet. Battery life, miniaturism and quality of the UI have a little bit to go before I consider purchasing one. As for Apple it's a nice looking item, but the fact you have to forced into "their" ecosystem of products just to use it is utter BS.
  21. It's such a hard choice, but I hear ya on changing out the lights. Although the slanty eyes give out better light, I love the older bug eyes.
  22. I've got a cracked cross member on my Triumph that's aluminum. I've been looking for someone in or around the Dayton area to help. It's only 3 inches long and a super accessible place.
  23. I totally agree...I love the looks of the newer years + the ABS. It's the price tag I'm flinching at... I'm an intern at the moment with a job on the line. I'm trying to get my first car, so it's gonna be a bit before I can put down the $$ to get a bike. Even if I sell mine for $4,200 or so, I don't have the cash to pick up the rest.
