  1. Have you read any of David Hough's books? Proficient Motorcycling and More Proficient Motorcycling. Just reading the first one I've discovered both bad and good habits and techniques I need to work on.

  2. there are coupons in this months motorcylist and sport rider, i just got mine and if anyone needs one PM me your addy and ill mail you one. Please only ask for one if you are going to use it, not just because im going to do the leg work for nothing

I picked up a copy of motorcyclist magazine looking for the coupon and liked it so much I subscribed. Damn, they got me! I haven't subscribed to a paper magazine in years.

  3. al z heimer is the by far the oldest kid in the block :D

will pm you when we have some rides happening, love the yamaha RD 350.. it was sort of a dream bike long back in india

Mine is a 250, same thing. It was my stepfather's. I need to pony up and get a new fuel tank for it as it's past the point of no return.

  4. 50-100 miles?

My bikes would not even be warmed up at that point...:)

My Speed Triple and Ninja make me do bad things... huh, Al Z. Heimer...:nono:... By far a kid though!

I hear ya, it usually an issue of time not because I don't want to ride more.

  5. I'm on my 2nd Tourmaster Intake Air jacket, only because the medics had to cut my first one off of me. I can vouch for the protection offered by this mesh jacket. I had a major accident last summer and didn't have so much as a scratch on me thanks to this jacket. It was my first purchase with my insurance payment after the accident.

    That's quite a testimonial, glad you've recovered.

  6. Unless your warranty requires premium fuel you're also wasting money on it over regular. Reason being premium fuel stays in the stations tanks longer and loses octane over time.

And, if you can run regular in your engine without knocking, premium fuel has no advantage even if it were fresh.

But I'm not too sure I would own another t mobile phone, by day the worst coverage and customer service, but then again this was 6 years ago.

I've been with them since 2001. The coverage is still marginal at best in rural areas. Most urban areas and cities I've visited recently seem to be fairly consistent 4g (which is really hspa+ and not true 4g). It's still quite good when it's there.

Hopefully some of the cash they got from the failed deal will go to further building out.
