Damn, bro, I wish you could have come! Soon enough though we'll all be riding with Motoseries together. I'll probably make some Friday night sessions too. Good luck tomorrow night!
-
Solid point, Nick. I have a membership and it has definitely had its perks in the last year.
-
Yup, it's $160 with a membership, but still only $170 without one.
-
Badass, looking forward to seeing that!

Well, as I said in the Motoseries Cancelled thread, my buddy Brian and I are headed up to Gingerman on Sunday to do a track day with Sportbike Track Time since the first Motoseries round at Nelson has been cancelled. I need to freakin ride so bad so I signed up immediately after I heard about the cancellation. The weather up there looks good for Sunday, high of 58, partly cloudy/sunny, 10% chance of rain. Just wanted to throw this out there in case any other OR or Motoseries members would like to join us. The more the merrier!

Moto Series Nelson Ledges 4/27-4/29 CANCELLED

I was so pissed at first, literally wanted to cry. But now Brian (The Murse) and I are headed to Gingerman on Sunday with STT, so we somewhat salvaged the weekend. Weather looks good, 58 degrees, partly cloudy, 10% chance of rain. Anyone want to join us? After I signed up though I realized NESBA was having a day at Beaver, I'm a little torn now. I don't currently have a membership with NESBA though and I'd kinda like to ride a new track (never ridden Gingerman). -
Thanks, guys, I appreciate it. Hopefully I can keep it looking nice, at least for a while!
-
Damnit!! I just bought one literally 2 days ago for full price! Shit. Good Luck with the sale though.
-
Hell yeah, can't wait!
-
I'll be there no matter what... and it's gonna be fucking great no matter what!
-
Looks good! See you at the track!

Well, the ZX6R is ready for the first weekend of the season at Nelson. Spent the winter turning her into a dedicated track bike, and I'm pretty happy with the results. LET'S RIDE!!!!

I like this idea though. But Bad324 is right, it's dealing with the original owner that might be the issue.
-
It does sound like a pain in the ass, but honestly, if I were my buddy (Mark) I would probably go through the hassle and just get the title. Then he could probably sell it for close to 5 grand. But I guess he just doesn't want to deal with it. Or if I had 3 grand I would buy it myself, get the title, and make a few thousand. Too bad I'm a broke racer with all my money tied up in the race season. Fuck.

Craigs List Link. He has $3500 listed here, but I know he'll take $3000. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/2926995763.html

I think it's a pretty good deal for a clean, not beat down, base for a track bike build. However, I know he'd consider less (within reason). Call him if you'd like and make an offer.
-
Alright so here's the deal, as I was skeptical at first as well. My buddy bought the bike from a guy who had never gotten it titled. That guy did give my friend the title signed by him and the original seller, and a bill of sale. VIN matches up. My buddy also has paper saying the original lien has been satisfied. We've run multiple checks to verify it isn't stolen (although I personally can't guaruntee this). Why the guy my buddy bought it from never got it titled, I don't know. My buddy bougt it from the guy for cheap with the original goal of getting it titled, but it now looks like it is going to have to go through a lengthy process to do so. Possibly involving the courts, I'm not really sure. My buddy buys and sells vehicles pretty regularly and just doesn't want to deal with it, so he's dumping it cheap. This whole situation is why he's just listing/selling it as a track bike, with no guaruntee that it can be titled. This is the reason it is so cheap. Again, sick deal for a racer. However, my buddy will give the new buyer all the paper work he has from the previous owner. If anyone is really interested, just call Mark, the owner, at the number I listed in the original post.
-
This is exactly it. No title = huge price drop. Not a problem for track day guys or racers. Not sure if it can be titled, sounds like there is a paperwork issue that has turned into more of a hassle than my buddy is willing to deal with. He got a sick deal on it so he's just trying to unload it. EDIT: It actually has 14,000 miles.

Posting this for a friend. 2007 CBR600RR for sale. Black. This would be a perfect track/race bike for someone. It is currently in street trim, but my buddy never got the title for it so he's just selling it as a track bike. I would have bought this bike if I hadn't already spent all winter building my current track bike. Has around 14,000 miles I believe. It's pretty damn clean too for the most part. It was dropped at low speeds, scratched up a couple fairings that have been re-painted. Not that it really matters as he's selling it as a track bike. Structurally, everything looks pretty good. New Pirelli Diablo Rossi II tires. All stock. Seriously, this is a great deal. You could probably buy it and then sell off all the street parts and have a hell of a base for a track bike for like 2 grand. $3000 OBO Call him if you're interested or for pics. Mark- 845-807-8634 Bike is currently in Cleveland (in my damn house actually) EDIT for correct mileage

Seriously though, there's really no reason to be intimidated, although I know how you feel. I did my first track day last year after riding way too hard on the street for a few years, and it was the best thing I could've done. Sign up for novice/instructional, and they'll teach you everything you need to know about the track from bike prep to the proper lines. Pace will be nice and easy at first and then ramp up to as fast as you're comfortable with. No gridding/race starts at a trackday, you'll just roll out onto the track with your instructor. With three different groups based on skill level, you won't have to be out there with the crazy fast guys. Seriously, it is well worth the money and you'll probably progress more in one day than you can in a year on the street. However, you will get addicted and probably end up spending all your money on track time and the things that come along with it. (I now have a full race season planned this year and a full on track bike, well worth it though) I highly recommend Motoseries, the instructors are great and it has a really laid back, family feel to it. Pretty much anyone out there will be willing to help you out with whatever you need. It will be hard to avoid the gheys that heavily populate Motoseries, however. Just keep your cheeks clenched and don't let them lure you into any of their trailers and you'll be fine! Hit me up if you have any questions.
