  1. Glider sold. If a mod wants to lock this thread for me that'd be appreciated. Not much interest in the surround sound, so looks like I'll have to take it with me.

    Thanks everyone, and ride safe.

I tried to edit but can't since I'm no longer a supporter. I guess our fearless leader doesn't think I'm good for 10 bucks.

I tried sending you a message about the elliptical, but it says you can't receive messages. Are you still interested? I've had a couple inquiries, but wanted to give you first dibs.

  5. I have to agree with Blue on this, although I'm not a qualified physician or anything. But I've never heard of someone not able to lose any weight, even if they have thyroid issues and such. I'd recommend seeing and taking a doctor's advice over a personal trainer. Almost anyone can become a certified trainer and there are plenty out there that preach their personal beliefs and put people on a program that isn't best suited for them, and people who aren't as educated don't know any better..

Again, I'm no professional I've just done a ton of research and been working out for years and like I said, I've never heard of someone never being able to lose any weight. Although surgery can help, following a proper diet counting macros and working your ass off will get you results, although it may come a little slower and harder for some than others.

Take it for what it is and call me an idiot if you'd like, just giving my input. Ultimately it's your guys' decision and has no effect on me. Best of luck.

  6. Alright well if you need anything just shoot me a PM and I can let you know what I have if you're looking for something specific. No worries if you don't need anything, we were planning on trying to garage sale it this spring anyway. I just want it out of the basement and to get rid of as much stuff as I can over the next year or two so when we decide to move south it's less stuff I have to worry about getting rid of..

  7. Hey Bad, I tried sending you a PM but it said you can't receive any messages. But if you're in need of some baby stuff let me know. I've got a lot of clothes, toys and also a battery/plug in baby swing as well. It's just taking up room in our basement.

  8. I've thought about driving through the night but can't seem to get enough sleep prior to comfortably drive for 10+ hours. So the last road trip we just left after work and stopped at a hotel when we got tired. That way we could get up, eat breakfast and not rush getting to our destination if we weren't too far. Plus it doesn't throw your sleep off.

  9. Yeah we drove 12 hours to the Outer Banks last year with him and it wasn't too bad except for a few moments, but that's expected. But if things go really well then we'll eventually have to make the drive to Florida with him, although it'll hopefully be one way.

Allegiant airlines. By far the cheapest flight travel to anywhere in Florida.

Only available flights are on Sundays in late afternoon.

After looking around some more and getting some rates it actually looks like flying would cost the same if not a little less when I factor taking a day or two off for driving. So flying will probably be the route we go. I appreciate all the input from everyone.

  11. I figured we'd probably fly into Orlando or Fort Lauderdale since like said, West Palm Beach is more expensive. Briefly looking, it seems like flights will be around $800 round trip after taxes and expenses. Then we just have to find a place we want to rent a car from.

  12. The only flights I saw from JetBlue had a layover and was more expensive then several other places. If we didn't have my son I wouldn't mind the layover but I really don't wanna try and get through Atlanta or LaGuardia with him. Did it before and it sucks..

  13. So later this year my wife and 1.5 year old are planning to head to the West Palm Beach area for a week. I don't mind driving so I suggested we just leave a day early and arrive a day later with rests once and awhile for our son. She on the other hand would rather fly and just get a rental car instead.

So for those who have travelled to Florida, did you drive or fly and would you do the same thing or something else if you did it again? I'm sure the drive sucks taking basically I-95 all the way and being on the road for around 17 hours, but is it worth it to save flight costs plus a rental car?

If you just want a plan, I could type that up for you in 20 minutes...  There is no real "secret" to weight lifting form.  If you aren't using inappropriately heavy weight, you shouldn't hurt yourself.

This. Go on YouTube to get an idea of the proper form for the exercises you plan to do then practice them, most you could practice at home even without weights. Such as if you wanted to practice your squat and bench press form, grab a broom stick and do some reps. The biggest thing I think that kills proper technique is too much weight, like redkow said. And I have a couple beginner workouts as well I could send you to try if that's something you're interested in, just PM me.

And like others have said, diet plays a big role in your success for either weight loss, muscle gain, etc.

  15. My wife and I have a 2014 Edge and can pack up the car for the weekend with our son in his car seat and keep our two dogs in the rear. Having two car seats would pretty much eliminate the rest of your cargo room with dogs in the car but a roof rack may solve that problem. And for reference our dogs are 50 lbs and 40 lbs. Also, I believe the towing capacity is 2,000 lbs.

  16. I do the stronglift 5x5. It's a good starter program. Squats, deadlift, bench, overhead press and barbell rows.

I know its just an excuse but i don't have time to life 4-5 days a week. Right now i bowl on mondays and leave after work on fridays to go snowboarding for the weekend. And once summer rolls around, usually doing housework and car stuff.

But i don't really care about becoming huge, just would like to add some mass.

Give All Pros beginner workout a try. It's slower progression and the general consensus is that it's more for overall balanced gains versus a 5x5 program which is for strength. Plus it's only 3 days a week with cardio on off days.
