I think your hypothesis holds water and is a pretty well established theory, minus these recent 2 or 3 weeks. The cr satisfaction to troll ratio is pretty low. If I lived in a closed off cave with no knowledge of the date or season, I could mistake this for an ill attempt at recreating CR winter.

if you can get your hands on bells hopslam, or troegs nugget nectar you will thank me. nugget nectar is by far my favorite beer. far and away. *edit* i see they have bear republic hop rod rye, its also good too. also note that these are mainly IPA types. I think nugget nectar is considered an amber, but it is super hoppy but really smooth.
