  1. Alright. Bike is running at a cool 12.9 just sitting and at around 14.2 while up to 5K rpm. It will shut off if I let off the throttle. One of the cylinders isn't firing. Smells of unburn fuel. Gotta be valves, or some shit ya?
  2. It started right up. Won't stay on long though. I got it so it will stay on if I hold it at a revved position. I need another set of hand though to hold the volt meter. I will try again later when I get some help. The exhaust was wet on the inside, and was smoking something fierce, white smoke.
  3. If I can get it running, what's the best way to check the charging system?
  4. Put the battery back in (wasn't done charging). It started, but dies after.... say 20 seconds. Exhaust has the smell of unburt, or excess fuel. Tried to give it a quick rev, and the light got brighter, but faded fast. Certainly does seem like a charging issue. Why would it come on so quickly though? There was no preemptive problems. The thing started like a champ before.
  5. Legit. I will try this battery out and report back.
  6. Actually says that's it's charging too. But if it's just the battery, how does that explain the oily plugs?
  7. Just checked the radiator. It's full of fluid, the resevoir bottle is just near empty... Pulled the battery and have it on a tender.
  8. Battery should be fine. It's not a lugging problem. But just to make sure, I will take the battery out of my track bike and try it. Can't comment on the coolant. I was going to do a flush but then this problem started. The reserve bottle is empty though.
  9. (Bike is an 07, gsxr 600 with 5900 miles. It has been in a low side. Appeared cosmetic. Bike started and test rode fine on the day of purchase...) Bike is fairly new to me (had it about a week). I've been riding it everyday back and forth to school. Pretty easy riding, nothing above 7K rpm. Started up fine, everytime. Even on these cold mornings, somewhere around 35 degrees. So I let my room mate ride it on thursday night. He's got an R6, knows how to ride, so I wasn't concerned. Well, he put it through the paces. He was all the way up towards redline, and I saw him trying to power wheelie it infront of my apartment. Parked it in the garage and all seemed fine. I went to start it Friday morning, and it wouldn't start. Tried to turn over, but wouldn't hold. Saturday I pulled the plugs, and cleaned them, but it's still the same. This mornings, I put in brand new plugs, and it started for around 10 seconds, and then bogged and shut off. Old plugs seemed saturdated with oil. White smoke comes out of the exhaust, whenever I can get it to start. Put it in dealer mode, and it's not throwing any codes (reads -C00) http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php...52171810325537 (here's a crappy video that my friend took) I've got a picture of the plugs, but it's simple.... they are dark and wet with oil. ha Bike has fresh oil, and fresh gas, and fresh plugs Any thoughts?
  10. Give him the ones I painted.... we all know they aren't worth much. ha
  11. You two were moving pretty well with the rains. I of course was watching from the sideline, so I took note of the pace. I was impressed.
  12. I of course was the orange bike. ha. I will get my own videos up soon for everyone to watch. Mine don't have the sun problem. I think he had it pointed to far in the "up" direction.
  13. Here's another vid from that day. This was the last session when the groups were mixed.
  14. Turnout to be a good day yesterday. Good luck to everyone racing today
  15. I was there yesterday. Had way too mayn wrecks, including a few requiring hospital visits. It was a good day for me, but not for all.
  16. In for saturday. Just waiting on todd to give me the refund from the last day.
  17. I'm just glad that no one makes fun of me. After all... I'm balding and I'm training to be a dentist. That should be plenty of ammunition. You guys are a great group. Carry on making fun of eachother and talking racing. I love it. and I don't know what this is...
  18. Murse, you have had some tough luck this year man. Can't catch a break. Craig too. woof.
  19. Maybe he will just post up here?
  20. Yeah I know. He tried to sell them to me. But I was a little hesitant on them, and here I am now, with a set in my posession. I just didn't want to bother him with a PM. I asked him mad tire questions when I bought the last set off him and I didn't want to be a pain in his ass with any more.
  21. They might, but these are made for a regular 17 rim
  22. As the others have said, this isn't entirely true. These are slicks anyways, so dispersing water isn't going to be an option. I was more concerned with them being a multi compound, for example... the right side being hard, and the left side a medium or soft compound. I bought these off a friend who bought them last year off the wera forum. He found out he couldn't run them on his 600 or something, so I took them from him.
  23. I was kind of wondering if it was a way for them to cover themselves. I mean, if these tires were not supposed to be out in the public, then this is a way to keep them from being seen, ya? It really doesn't matter too much to me, either way. They are just in great shape and I would like my tire eating bike to have some food. That is all.
  24. So I picked up a set of moto2 tires locally. I talked with Brian before and was inder the impression that these are unidirectional. Well they were not marked as to what way to be run. So I emailed the guys at dunlop with the codes and stuff and here is what I got back: RAY, You have a tire that is not legal to ownor use in the USA. They are for Moto2 at Indy only. They are a very hard compound for theabrasive track at Indy. They were not to be sold or leave theDunlop truck. How you got them I really don’t care, as I am not the “sheriff”in these matters. You should not even have possession of these tires. What I can tell you is they are very hard compound. There is no available databecause they are not for sale or use in the USA market. They were specificallymade for Indy only and for Moto2 only. My personal recommendation is to not takeany risk, ask scrap the tires and never use them. You are taking a big risk even using them. So scrap them or use them? I see these for sale all the time, and people have to be using them right? Just wanted to see what you guys would say.
