Thanks! And you are absolutely right about the wind, I think that was the craziest part of the whole thing. I just tried to keep calm and not stress out over it, but there were times that I was worried that I was gonna be blown off the road...

I went riding with a friend today - it's fun to ride with someone other than me, myself & I. Unfortunately(or maybe fortunately) my friend's bike tends to overheat so it cannot tolerate a lot of city streets with stop & go traffic. So after stopping to eat and catch up with each other, he tells me we're trying out the highway... I haven't done that yet UNTIL today. I'm so excited & proud of myself for finally doing it. Yay!!!

I'm glad my friend nudged me to do it, and stayed close to make sure I was okay.

That is all, I just wanted to share my good news!!

She failed to mention that once she got on the 650, she was grinning and swinging her little legs back and forth......it was hilariously cute ANYBODY would have laughed! She has a great sense of humor......even after 11 years of laughing together I'm still just as crazy for her

Have you looked at the Ninja 650? The seat height between the 300(30.9) & the 650(31.7) isn't much, and I understand that since you aren't freakishly tall like me, the smallest measure can be a big difference. I don't know anything about lowering a bike, but hopefully you have options so that you don't have to settle and can instead choose what you want/like. I LOVE my 650.
