  1. Eliminate the rider first. Let good rider take your bike for a spin to turn both directions. If they come back and say the bike is fine, it's all in your head....

BTW: Cruisers suck except to bar hop, but drinking and riding isn't exactly the smartest combination.

    Chris

Probably the best suggestion so far, also knowing the sport bikes ive seen i'll take 5 beers and the speed limit over the ability to go 160 into a tree

Im sure i'll have a thousand more questions, so im looking forward to some sound advice and crazy ranting. So since im stuck at work i figured i'd give you all a thank you and for the love of god keep me entertained (but remember im at work)

  3. no video my girlfriend decided she had better things to do than follow me and watch me turn left, and yeah i'd love to swing by sometime. i live an in apt with no garage so even the simple stuff is a pain in the ass

  4. i think im just going to hit up easton after closing time, all the streets are empty its like saftey town for adults. it may be the bikes size but its odd its only left turns, so if anybody wants to ride around easton at 12:30am let me know :)

  5. Couple of questions:

Old bike make and model, new bike make and model?

turning, are you talking parking lot speeds, 90 degree turns or curves. What speed are we talking about?

Seating postion. Are you feet forward, chair or feet beneath you?

Do the forks turn stop to stop, equally?

Some have mentioned countersteering but that only really applies at speed. At slow, parking lot speeds, you may want to use counterbalance. Bike lenght, seating position, rear tire width, bar style/height can all impact the new bike experience.

Another thing to check is the rear shock settings for your weight. Add some preload and effectively increase rear ride height may help a bit but that should be more important at speed.

original bike rebel 250, new bike boulevard c50 (800cc)

as far as speed is concerned im taking a 90degree turn at 25 mph

Sitting straight up with feet down slightly infront of me

and i'll have to look at the bike to see if its wires or something else possibly limiting mobility

and my girls perfectly balanced ;)

  6. Is it geared down or what? I can push my folks 125cc scooter close to that...downhill of course.

no, it just gets to a point where it feels like there should be a 6th gear and its not comfortable, it can go up to 80 but after a while if feels like youre just riding it too hard

  7. So i just moved up from a small style cruiser to a larger one, on the old bike i could take a turn with ease. Im have the weirdest problem on the new bike, for some reason i am having a bitch of a time turning left. even at super slow speeds i feel the need almost stop before turning..... does anybody have any clue why this is going on?

  8. i went in to get my bike checked for overheating and they told me i didnt know how to fill the coolant. they give it back and it still overheats so i take it back in to get them to fix it. i come back 2 hours later and my tire on my r1 is flat and they said "were not fixing your bike till you buy a tire from us" even thought it was just fine when i left it. so i tell them to fuck off and they made my roll my bike on a flat to the parking lot where they gave me a hard time about changing the tire because i didnt buy it from them

fuck iron pony and just so no one disputes this i took their asses to court and they settled with me. (which you only do when your wrong)

not enough? well my buddy just took his 06 zx-10r in for a valve adjustement. well they give it back to him and not even 30 miles later its clacking and ticking. so he takes it back and their lead tech says to him " wow you really should let us do a valve job on this" not knowing that he had picked it up not 24 hours before hand from his shop where they supposedly did a valve job. so he dropps it back off and when they give it back to him now his valve cover is leaking oil.......needless to say hes about to take them to court also

iron pony might have good deals/ they might be local/ they might be somewhat friendly at first. but they do bad business and when you call them on it they always resort to "customer is always wrong" attitude. I WILL NEVER EVER LET ANYONE IN THAT BUILDING TOUCH MY VEHILCE AGAIN. and i'll be pretty damn stand offish about spending a single dollar with those asshole.

SEAN THE SERVICE MANAGER IS HORRIBLE AT HIS JOB AND HAS NO CLUE ABOUT MOTORCYCLES. the man tried to argue me that after changing the coolant the next thing a bike gets is NOT a thermostat. who does that? especially when its under warrenty who the hell cares if you give someone a $30 part thats warrentied anyways.oh wait sean does shit like that.

or after you do a valve job wrong twice now its the customers fault that the valve cover leaks......

sean and the customer service team in that shop are a joke only knowledge people in there at all are justin and jon.

what lawyer did you use to take them to court, i basically had the same thing happen

  9. I have done both 100's of times... Gahanna has a light that I let cycle 4 times before I took a run for it. I got it on the gopro and was going to take it to the cops but didn't want to get fucked for running it w/ video proof.

which lights im freinds with most of the leos in gahanna?

  10. Hey Jynx, they got you on the list for riding with the group forming up at Iron Pony.

    That's not the NEWARK group.

I don't know the route they are taking to Logan but I'm guessing it will be Rt 33,

which will not intersect with the Newark group. Just thought you might want to

make a choice of groups. I still have you on our list for Newark.

    .

i think they put me on the list because i suggested the location, i may actually go with them. it is a lot closer, also it looks like they have mr anderson on that list too

  11. A group of riders from Northeast Ohio are forming up.

A suggested route has been posted in map form that

shows they may leave Zanesville on US Rt 22 West

and then intersect with OH Rt 664 South in Rushville.

The Northwest corner of that intersection has the Rushville

Marathon Gas Station. This would be a good place to link up

with them since Rt 664 seems to be the most reasonable

    route for us to take.

I posted a message on their thread to this effect. We'll know

    more as time goes on.

    .

not a bad idea, the address is 3011 Market St, Rushville, OH for those of you lucky enough to have a gps

also for the newark meet i think the speedway by main and 1st in newark is a good spot (117 E Main St, Newark, OH ) its close to rt 13 also
