you planning on going with a chrome moly lined or a stainless barrel? Chrome lined is usually a little more costly, but the stainless is slightly more accurate. In my opinion they are both just as easy to clean. The chrome barrel will allow you to shoot steel case ammo easier vs the stainless. When you go to make your barrel selection look at your twist rate, the higher the twist rate, the more accurate over longer ranges, I personally like a 1:7 but a 1:9 will suffice too.

A close friend of mine is being transferred to camp leatherneck in Afghanistan for 6-8 months. Welcome Dubie, there are quite a few on here from the Springfield area. I think we should all get together and make a route for the roads in the area. There are quite a few just nothing as epic as those where we rode this weekend.

Coming across a deer while riding is my biggest fear. Ive talked to a few people who have either tagged or been tagged by a deer on their bikes, all come out alive and well but all were on Gold wings or large baggers

those are some nice roads in that area, 55 is a nice one as well
