The pits were really wet. Hollywood crashed in 13 but and his bike looked fine. Lots of low-sides in 13 this weekend. One ambulance trip for a guy in the first SV race. That caused the first 600 SB race to be pushed until after lunch.
I just set my sag on Wednesday. Probably should have done it before I left for Round one. I didn't realize how stiff it was set from my suspension guy. Hopefully that helps next time.
I have a set of white TCX boots that are in great shape. These are the Competizione S model. These are my backup pair and have very little wear. Just your normal scuffing from riding. No crash damage. The soles aren't worn at all. Size 42 which equates to 8.5 US. I wear a 8.5 US and they fit great. Probably fit someone with a slightly larger foot. Price is $150 obo.
He is who did my suspension and gave me set-up advice. I think I need to just get more seat time before I make drastic changes. He had me running the forks flush with the upper triple and the rear at stock height. The Kawi feels a ton stiffer than the 05 600rr that I had last year.
I am pretty sure I need to change the set up a bit. I have never felt chatter before but does mid-track in the middle of the carousel have ripples? If not I definitely got some chatter issues. I had totally messed up gearing as well.
Since I am coming alone, I think I am going to park by everyone else this weekend. I usually park in front of the scoring tower, but we were usually alone over there last year. If I need help with something I don't want to have to walk forever. The scoring tower has a RV plug in front of it, I believe.
You guys (not you specifically) called me a sandbagger after my first event. Last year was my first year of racing. You will be fine in expert. I look forward to chasing some people to get my lap times down.
