  1. I know having 6-8 people bump up would definitely thin out the Novice class. I would hope it would get more new racers out there seeing that you don't have to run under X:XX time to win a race.
  2. I hope...Like I said before. It would be boring for anyone running in expert by them self.
  3. We will see:D...I asked Todd what he was going to do about who was going to Expert next year and never heard back....I hate waiting until the last second to get stuff done and need to know if I need to order white plates or not. The 09 is pretty set up now. Getting a Elka shock for it and a quick shifter. Building a new bike is expensive. Still need a spare front rim w/rotors.
  4. Does anyone know when the schedule will be posted? I know last year at this time it was already posted.
  5. Mid-Ohio or Nelson Ledges
  6. This....I have found that this was my major hurdle this year. I would run with Bill up front after catching him after one of my patented crappy starts and I would get stuck behind him. I can run about 1 second quicker a lap than him (depending on the day) but I don't like to be a dick in a pass. I found that I needed to study his lines to figure out how to pass him without it being too close. During a sprint race, you almost don't have enough time to study the other rider for a few laps.
  7. Each person has their own way of thinking what a safe pass is and is not. I for one would not have had a problem with either of the passes that you mentioned, but that is me and that is why I got into racing. I don't get spooked too easy anymore. I am probably one of the nicest passers in track days and racing but I have done what you have mentioned a few times. Especially against liter bikes when I am on my 600. These situations happen when the closing speed is high. I have only had one person come up to me about a pass and it was someone riding in Advanced at Putnam that should have been in Intermediate. I apologized and just went about my own business not changing a thing instead of trying to tell him his riding was the main reason for the close pass. I was the passer, he was the passe, and I was responsible for the safe clean pass(which it was).
  8. I didn't mind the minimum round as much as a few others. I realize I wasn't able to devote as much time as most to the racing season. This year was my least amount of riding in the past 3 years (street or track). I am definitely looking forward to next year. The new bike has an easy 8+hp on it. I ran at Putnam during the last MotoSeries track day with stock gearing and suspension. Even with that I was able to get within less than 0.5 seconds of my PR. If it were a race probably would have broke it.
  9. Just stopping by to say what's up. Bob recommended me to the site. I think the minimum event rule is a bit weird. I found out about it back in August after my baby was born and just took it for what it was worth. I was planning on Grattan too. See you guys next year.
