  1. So for a monday it started off pretty normal. Then I get this Cobalt in to do simple power steering recall. In the midst of pulling the motor my right hand slipped off and I basically punched the underside off the dash causing a pretty deep laceration on top of my hand. After spending most of the day in the ER, I found out I cut a tendon and thats why it won't move. Now I have to go see an orthepedic hand doctor and possibly have surgery to fix it. The good, my Camaro is an auto so I'll still be kicken ass, and Paul is laid-off so he drove me around today and hung out with me making it much better then sitting by myself. The bad, it's my fucking right hand, and it's in a cast, I can hardly do anything, it's really taking forever to type this. To those of you I promised to help out I'm sorry, I'm not sure how long this will slow me down.
  2. Good stuff Brady, the car is obviously a pretty nice piece to start with, so I'm still looking forward to some real mods.
  3. I'll take on everyone in here with one hand.
  4. what kind of progressive do you have again?
  5. I wish I'd seen the Hookers first hand, but they've always had quality parts in my experience with them. Get yourself some quality gaskets, I'd recommend Percy's Seal-4-Good, they're $40 well spent.
  6. I'm surpised you didn't see the purge right before we got on the freeway, but yeah I had fun. Dover and those guys are always sandbagging, I had the slowest car of the group.
  7. Get past the intro section and you can look at my build thread, but the car isn't really where I wanted it. Cliffs: built 370ci LQ4, built 4L60e, 4000 stall, moser 9", 150 shot, and I'm at the limits of my fuel system, don't feel bad the cards were stacked in my favor.
  8. I could've turned the spray off and it would've been a lot closer, but I love to spray my car.
  9. Huh, I'm in the same boat as you, I guess I'll have to bite the bullet on a bar too.
  10. Welcome, I met you friday night, good times.

  12. No fucks will be given. I'll just tell that storm to STFU.
  13. Women are good for working, we'll use my wife for an example. She's smart so she can keep a job, she has 2 jobs and kept 2 jobs for the past 5-6 years, her first job she has had for 11 years. She also doesn't bitch about doing house work, she does 90% of that too. On top of all that she lets me do what I want, including spend her money as well as mine. That is what women are good for, get a good one. oopps she just read this post and is yelling at me.
  14. I'd bet the y-pipes could be interchanged, but I've worked at exhaust shops and know how to tweek these things. For best results I'd stick with the same brands. You do realize that Hooker now makes both a 1 3/4" and a 1 7/8" header, a decent price difference iirc.
  15. Looks good man, thats how my car looked for the past couple years until this summer. You've got a pretty balanced and consistant car, and considering the amount of seat time you have I think getting past a few rounds at an event like that is a great accomplishment, congrats.
  16. Have seen nothing but happy people with Pacesetters. I just have the black painted non-emission with the pacesetter ory, and they fit and function perfectly. You could spend more on the ceramic coating, but IMHO thats mostly cosmetic. I know ceramic coating keep more heat in the pipes and are supposed to keep underhood temps down, but I don't think its worth the extra money, when I seen the coated ones get a little rust on them anyway. Bang for the buck I vote Pacesetters everytime. If you want something that'll look and function great for a lifetime you'll spend 3 times as much, ie Kooks and American Racing Headers. The only other headers I would consider are TSP 1 7/8" for performance, or Hooker's new 1 7/8" headers.
  17. Sucks dude, I'd be furious if someone fucked up all my hard work, good thing I'm not fast.
  18. fuck the 03/04 motor, LS1 in a notch, if you don't build it I will. Great little lighter weight drag car with a good easy to mod LS1, win win.
  19. Does the nitrous gauge have a sending unit or is it mechanical?
  20. If you're not going to do anything but use them for work I don't think I'd shy away from any of them, just get the newest/lowest mileage you can.
  21. Fucking nerd jokes? Someone needs to go back over to that "my harddrive is bigger then yours" forum.
  22. Sounds like you should be looking at the balancer, and looking through the inseption cover at the converter and flexplate, making sure everything is tight in there as well.
  23. Save your money and live like you're 18. Living like you're 21 and you'll go broke.
