Did you have to change out the cheek pads? Did it feel more comfortable on the ears after pulling down on the pads right after putting the helmet on?

No didn't change anything, they need time to conform to your face.  Mine felt just a little too tight at first and now it fits perfectly.  Love the tinted drop down sun visor, I used to have a fixed tinted visor on my HJC that was great for daytime, but sucked at night and I didn't want to have to cart around my clear visor every time I went on a long ride.

  2. As stated above the rust dust all over is the telltale sign your chain is done.  If you wipe your rear wheel and see any rust dust, regardless of mileage it's time to replace your chain.  Another sign is the chain will kink and you can't get the kink out with lube, as well as a clunky feel in the chain.  A third sign is a shit ton of chain noise, unfortunately you may not hear, but another experienced rider behind you will.  I have seen and experience all of these at different mileage with my chain and other riders.

Sorry about the damage and glad you are safe!

  3. I used to have an HJC I used for years and decided I wanted a helmet that was better quality all the way around with an integrated tinted sun shield.  After a shit ton of research and trying on every option at the Pony, I decided on a GT-Air.  I have used it for a season and a half now and it's a fantastic helmet all the way around, they only thing I would change is to add another vent to move a little more air flow around the head for hot days, other than this I have no complaints.

  4. I think its gone beyond addiction!  :nono: Beautiful bike Nivin, lets try and keep this one for more than six months.  If I had the cash I would for sure take a look at your FJR, it would be a great addition to the stable and you have it set up with all the right upgrades.  Too bad my wife would throw me out a window if I brought home another bike.

Well I'm still IN* for saturday or sunday (if it gets moved).

I've been spamming the OP Thread/advertising this Ride all over several Michigan Moto-Facebook closed groups and such.

So far there is only ONE guy that said they are very interested in coming down for this Ride! He said hes likely going to come down Friday and get a Hotel and see all us Saturday morning at the meet spot! 50/50%, I never met the guy, hopefully hes not a serial killer!

I however, might be either meeting up with the early ass Wooster met group... OR sleep in few more Hours then leave my house at 5am and slab it down to the McConnelsville met by 11am! Either way I seem to be the only damn one with the Ballz to cram all these Miles and Hours within one day of Riding! :D

Don't forget to wear your Epic Ride balls shirt!

One other idea.  XD makes a small carry 9.  My kid has it, I have shot it, excellent gun. I still regret selling my XD 40.

+1 for the XD.  I carry an XDS9 and love it.  I have no problem with concealment and its very accurate.

  7. Congrats on the new addition to the family!  We had a similar situation with my wife and our first, she was in labor for hours and pushed for quite a while as my son got stuck and every time she pushed his heart rate would sound like it was going to stop.  In her case they had to get the spoons out and give him a pull when she pushed and then he came through.  It was a scary situation for a few minutes as he was blue and wasn't breathing, they started on him right away and then you heard his first cry and I just about passed out.  I am glad to hear mama and son are doing good!
