  1. As most all of the BMV's are NOT run by the state and the deputy registrars are political appointees, it is my opinion that many things are at the discretion of the registrars and their employees. I renewed some plates that were expired over the allotted amount past my birthday and did not pay the $20 penalty, the employee asked why I had done that and I told her it was in storage over the winter, she nodded and I paid the pro-rated amount to May 1st. These plates were not on the listed exemptions. My opinions only.

  2. Looks like you got the same floor as us. Kitchens and bathrooms are the most expensive rooms in the house, they also sell or don't sell the house. We redid ours back in 2009, old house, last remodel was 1955. We redid as though it would look like going to Grandmas house. Use as much old equipment and fixtures as possible, used new-old stock or new stuff that looks old. Did a lot ourselves and it turned out great. Good luck, it is a lot of work and is looking good, you may want to stay!

  3. Fatheads in NO was just ok. Its for folks who either don't drink a lot of beer or drink American style "lite" beers. It gives them a chance to try something different. Its an old market with tall ceilings and open spaces where sound echoes off all the surfaces and too many TV's to satisfy the youngsters with short attention spans. It can hold a lot of people standing around. I think I also saw that, for me at least, were another very big no-no for my ever going back and that was pool tables and video games. Is that what I saw when I went past?

  4. The Lake Erie Loop ACBC run is just a 700 mile quick blast around the lake, no stopping except for gas and food, its a fund raiser started by a fellow firefighter from Brookpark, OH. He has a BBQ Friday night at the campground, the run Saturday, and then breakfast Sunday morning, again, fundraiser and social function at the same time. I try to hit the Friday and Sunday events. Its fun to attend the social stuff, some neat machines, but the run is a test of nerves and staying awake through some boring interstates, you can run the backroads but what's the point if its just a run to show you can do it as you aren't competing.

  5. Try Cornerstone Brewery in Berea. Smaller, intimate, better, food is regular pub fare and decent. Being smaller they have 5 or 6 selections. Only 2 TV's and those are muted with closed caption on, which is great because you don't go to a pub like that to watch TV, but if you want you can without it being obnoxious. so many times, I'd like to go somewhere but don't because of blaring multiple TV's showing sports. If I wanted adult chuck-E-cheese, I'd go to Dave&Busters or whatever that place is called, or a casino.

  6. OK, I wasn't messing with you, new here and thought maybe it was something I wasn't privy to. I used to love to ride at night, all through the 80's, man, I rode everywhere at night, the smells, you can't see outside the headlights, but you can smell, especially now in spring, the cut grass, then hay, in the fall, you had cabbage or grapes, or pototoes being harvested, when you went over railroad tracks after a hot day, you could smell the creosote from the ties. Now, forget it, unless like you said, maybe 20 miles an hour, you go down through Cuyahoga Valley and theres a herd of 50 or more grazing in the field next to the road.

  7. I found out that a few states don't recognize Ohio not because of their law, but because of Ohio's law, its silly in some respects, like AL, probably one of the most gun friendly states won't recognize Ohio's law because of the silly car aspects of Ohio's law.

  8. I've been trying to get a simple weather report for the last 5 days, 24 hours of silly stupid junk over and over, stop the insanity. Too many unanswered questions, too many holes in the story. I just find some things very hard to believe concerning this whole sordid affair. Apparently it all started with all of them with an offer for a ride home and he took them directly to his home instead of to their respective homes. I'm glad they are out, I'm glad they are alive, but I suspect things aren't what they seem. I could be wrong. Way too many people seem to have known about them, a baby was born, a 6 year old who called the suspects mother Grandma, they lived upstairs in locked rooms, they walked the property, the police were told about this guy, he's got a rich history of abuse and kidnapping his own kids, WTF? Sorry, I find it all hard to fathom.

  9. Medina is small, crowded and LOUD. After shoe horning maybe 100 bikes into the already small lot, they started parking them in the access road for Home Depot. I usually go, park, walk around, look at the maybe 10 bikes that aren't HD, watch the crowd, get a good chuckle, then go for a ride. Maybe an hour total there. Sheffields crowd has gotten smaller the last few years, I think they had some problems there. I've been trying to organize my fellow Brit bike riders to attend Sheffield just to be different and maybe get our own spot if theres enough of us regularly.
