I did, but my current bike is a 1988 honda hawk that buzzes at all RPMs, so wasn't really a deal breaker. Also, the only time I got them was on the highway and not exactly where I spend my time riding anyway. I have heard good results with heavier bar ends, so not a concern.

Thanks Hellmutt! We rented a BMW R1200RT for a weekend last year and I wasn't fond of it all. To large and not smooth at all when comparing it to the XR. My worry is that the Sprint will be similar. Butt test at dealer seems OK, but riding is completely different...

Bringing this back to life... There's a 2011 Sprint GT available at Rick Roush, but they don't allow test rides on used bikes. After taking a BMW S1000XR out for a spin the other weekend, it has become the bike I want. Just not sure when/if I can afford to get it. Wondering if the Sprint would make a decent replacement? While not the dream bike, seems still good fun for some 2 up touring and solo riding.

Depending on how late this goes I'm in. I work at a kitchen so wouldn't get there till 10 ish

Think Im gonna pass, not due to it being a Demo but more so for how far away dealer is. Would rather get something here local and have dealer support if needed.

I have been drolling over a BMW S 1000 R since they came out and came across a 2015 fully loaded with 770 miles on it for $2500 off the cost of new. I assume this is the dealerships demo unit, but haven't heard back from them yet. My thoughts are that it has probably had it's first service due at 600 miles and is broken in. It is how it was broken in that concerns me. Also, the bike is located out of state so should any issues come up, the place is 8 hours away. Which leads me to my next question of buying an out of state bike, will there be any issues registering it here and how is sales tax done? Thanks for opinions!

Would be interested in a ride to help learn better riding techniques. I also struggle with the blind corners and hills. To bad ride was on a Sat, I only have Sundays off or else I would've joined in the fun.

It got pretty full, but I guess not full enough to provide the normal milage! Tank was bone dry... Glad it runs great with a full tank!
