Thanks. I'm starting to look around for "non Kimber" 1911's. I really want checkered strap, and skeletinized trigger and hammer, other than that I'm open. I really like the custom or semi-custom type 1911's, but like most don't want to pay the custom price. I found a Wilson in pristine condition for 1800, and I know that is a good deal, but a bit out of my range. Anybody got ideas?

I've seen several at the gun shops around, but I'm looking for something used so I don't get raped on the price. What shop are you at?
