  1. Every rider/bike combo is different......speaking from my view riding in "I" group is on first lap I get passed down back straight more than any other lap after tires heat up,being passed or getting passed on back straight is not an issue, unless I just passed a riders or riders in carousel......but either situation i guarantee that they know I'm there and there's no surprise that they may encounter a slower straightway bike ahead.....I sure Mid Ohio will make safe decision in what best for every bike/rider stituation
  2. No problem......mine gets twitchy when not on the throttle or sitting too close to the tank.......I like to wear a chest/back protector that is bright colored so I can be seen easily from behind, being that the rider sits higher on a motard,I won't think they're not hard to spot......
  3. Sorry talk and text is not the most accurate on spelling
  4. I've probably got more seat time that anyone else around here on a superMoto on track days and races...... my personal Opinion on the foot down riding style is a little unsafe for you and the riders around you it's a good way to get your foot run over in the knee down position for me tends to hold me up when the wheels are sliding it's a support so you don't get that with the foot down and for me to be a good way to get high sided and pitched off. I think the safest place for a mode Tarde is on the track is in the center on the straightaways I tend to only get passed on the back straightaway buy a few riders announce it but my motard runs about 123 mile an hour about the same as a stock SV anyways good luck motards are super fun just need to be fast enough to be safe as well as lap times and that's my opinion
  5. I heard some in advance saying right before this happened that there were at least 3-4 riders that were out control making close passing and stuffing others riders pitted next to me..... Who won the track day trophy? If I make a 5 foot pass they are all over me about it....my lips most not pucker up right!
  6. You better step it up Cupcake......because I'm joining you next time!!
  7. Lmao we'll see! I didn't say you,but seems like everyone running 1:44s so that means I shouldn't pass anyone!!!! Right? Be careful what you say....I've built a nasty chainsaw motor this year!
  8. For instance last season a few riders were posting 1:44's on their timers when I was riding beside them and passing them in tight sessions and at Mid-Ohio vintage days the best I ran was high 1:45's so something not the same with Mylaps.....just curious if anyone else has seen this, no biggie....
  9. Reason I ask is, just seems to me.....I could be wrong but I've seen some fast SV running 1:42's running way faster pace than "I" group riders that are running 1:44-45 on their personal timers....is there one that is more accurate than others??? Don't mean to burst anyone bubble but seems way different.
  10. I've got a question with all this talk about lap times....do personal lap timers read the same as Mylaps or are they different? I've been a little skeptical how accurate they read...
  11. What these guys already said is good information......just going to add, I helped a few people blow in insulation in the attics. In our region they say you need r49-60 so r60 is around 18-20 inches with little or no base......just helped someone 3 weeks ago with cold drafty house with 3000 dollar propane bill a year. I blew in 48 bags in a 1700sq ft home, you need 3 people..... 2 to feed and 1 on top, about 20 bags an hour we put down....for a total cost of around 380.00 and she said already can feel huge difference in closets and back bedrooms with the cold drafty feel and furnace isn't running as much! you can use a temp guns to measure the walls when its cold out to pin point uninsulated area in the walls.....hope this helps
  12. I know for a fact, I was the 42nd and 45th rider in "I" group after lunch last year.......which is great!!! I hope it goes up to 60 riders!!!! Don't worry or get excited everyone it's only temporary,we'll be back down to 45 or less by lunch!!!
  13. I'll forgive you this time......I can assure you, I get into enough trouble that I've earned on my own without receiving any extra!
  14. Ummmm.....I didn't say anything about lap-times( I like the system).....you have me confused with someone else. I'm an expert Wera racer in "I" on a Motard and I'm over beating the dead horse!!! I'm just looking for track and tuning time that's all....
  15. I enjoy the big-cluster in "I"......I hope they stuff it full of A and B riders. Would of been nice to know a few months ago about no half-days....I could of bought 4-6 passes when they were on-sale.
  16. I didn't read the whole thread.......but I worked on a lot of these tube frame Buell at dealership for 7 years before working for myself. 2 things that are important on this are....1) proper TPS adjustment 2) proper cam sensor adjustment......these older tube frame Buells are very finicky! I don't think you'll find a Harley dealership that will be willing to touch one.....
  17. No worries, unless he ask you to the tech shed and his air mattress is out....or if you have farm animals!
  18. Don't be a hater....just because I'm not as tight as Craig! I think it's opposite of Stockholm, no empathy or sympathy feelings to be found... I'm going to run a few MS events and most likely more WERA rounds than last year........AMA Vintage Days to flex some ole school 2 stroke muscle against modern 4-stroke singles.....I have a few buddies that ride speedway bikes, that's been trying to get me to race one.....but they are so damn hard to get use to......but probably just going to race a new dirt tracker cr500 I'm putting together now.
  19. That's a good way to get a Venetian Loafer thrown at you on the first day......
  20. I don't go fast enough to fall off.......
  21. Heard a rumor, that no more half days for 2016 because half day riders were causes accidents right after lunch......what is the word on the street???
  22. I think most of us understand the concepts involved on trackdays........I know yesterday, I may of passed a little close according to mid-o "I" rules, that was due to people unclean lines, very few though.....they'd start on inside and drift out wide, I won't bitch if you don't bitch it's all part of trackdays with the mixture of speeds on straights and in corner....I understand it!. I've spent enough time on the track racing and at TD, just as long as they do...
  23. I'm good in "I".....the difference in corner speed allows me to control who safe to be around in the corners.... and besides theirs a few who think closing speeds are unsafe in "A", so I won't rock the boat! LOL
  24. I walked in at noon.......as the 30th rider, somewhat light day in "I" but what a perfect day to ride!
