  1. Has anyone had luck with a non-XT branded beacon triggering the lap timer? I scored a sweet deal on a like-new Ultra Lap unit but right now only have the Moto-D lap timer beacon. I don't have the XT unit yet so I can't test it yet. Someone usually has a beacon on race days but looking for options on practice days.
  2. Glad you walked away from this one!! Good call on upgrading the gear!
  3. Looks like the points leader may be trying to score some extra track time in there!
  4. I guess we will have to plan another practice date then There may be a night practice coming up in next few weeks.
  5. Now all those people who burned their LBJ jersey will have to buy them again….. hahaha!!
  6. I used to drag a knee all the time on my SV650.. then I switched to kart tracks on a CRF100 and couldn't touch a knee to save my ass!!! I'm 6'2 on a 100cc bike.. I am lanky as hell but couldn't get a knee down! My last race at Beaver / PIRC something clicked and BAM knee was down in all the right places. I agree that the knee down give you a feeler gauge! How about shoulder down?
  7. I agree, I know the track is in rough shape but would be willing to help out at track with any help needed!
  8. I sure hope you are awake when we get there! See ya tomm AM!
  9. Now we are talking!!!! is the 450 going to make an appearance?
  10. Trailer loading will start tomorrow around noon and then 9am Saturday morning departure! I can't wait to be driving down BIG BEAVER Blvd! We need our 2014 Novice riders to go out and represent for us again this year! Todd, Adam, Ben, Justin, Andrea and Joe... I am talking to you, good luck! Chris and I did our duty last year in F4! The beaver is waiting for you!
  11. She is going to be quick this year, and I'm sure Devon will have the pink 44 tuned and ready top go! Is it Friday yet?
  12. Practice starts at noon, so no reason to be there any earlier than that.
  13. The 2 vs 3 debate comes down to $$$ and weight. Unless you want to shoot 4k video I would go for whatever you can get a good deal on. I have run the adhesive helmet mount and the tripod adapter mounted drilled onto the fender of the race bikes. I'm sure you don't want to drill your street bike fenders. I haven't tried any streetbike mounts yet.
  14. The cause is probably too loose. Once you add some new spokes you should be able to "play them" like a harp. Tap each once with a screwdriver and you should hear a "ting"... if you hear a "thud" or dead sound it's probably too loose. I can try and remember to bring my spoke torque wrench to the next race and check your rear wheel out. Try and find yourself a milk crate or build a wood box to set your bike on in the pits....
  15. 2001 XR100 rear wheel fiche http://www.ronayers.com/REAR-WHEEL-C171870.aspx "Outside" spoke goes on the sprocket side "inside" spoke goes on the brake size. 97284-42091-K0 SPOKE SET B (INSIDE) -- 97766-42090-K0 SPOKE SET B (OUTSIDE)
  16. Woot woot!!! #8 is in the house!
  17. Good to see you on here Russ! You can come out for a single race or all season... your choice! OMRL does have some rental XR's if you wanted to try it out for a weekend. Keep your eyes open on CL and message boards for XR100 or CRF100's... once you get the bike we can tell you what and where to get the few extra goodies you may want. If you want something that looks pretty and don't like the older style... here you go, 2006 CRF. http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/mcy/4428022670.html 2003 https://cleveland.craigslist.org/for/4425110122.html
