  1. Some props from your old Cobra buddies. smile.gif http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157529
  2. I'll probably put some pics. up before spring gets here but I'll keep it quiet until then.
  3. This is not the slow old 450RWHP car that you remember. smile.gif I'm sure yours has lots of new go fast goodies as well. It should be fun.
  4. Looking good Sam. I can't wait to race your shiny Vette this spring.
  5. That would get the job done as well. Turbo V8 >*. smile.gif
  6. Uh oh.. Now we'll be at the mercy of Honda Civics.
  7. That would suck. I just bought an 05 MDX on Wednesday and it's made for crappy roads and I wasn't happy about the salt trucks having their way with it last night. I would still be cussing if they abused my new CTS-V.
  8. Congrats. I love the CTS-V's. They are a great combination of luxury and power.
  9. I'm hoping that the new z06 will be the big single turbo Supra killer. With ported heads, cam and spray along with it's weight it should be interesting.
  10. I agree completly with Venomss. The new Cobra with some bolt-ons will have no trouble with a stock Z06 in a straight line, anyone who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken. You need look no further than what the Kenne Bell Lightnings are doing to know this is true. They are running tens with upper 120 trap speeds and that's in a 4700lb truck with more restrictive heads than the new Cobra. The Z06 however will have no trouble beating on just about any car out there including the Cobra in any other form of racing and would be more than a match for the Cobra if it were spraying.
  11. Be a Microsoft Spyware Beta tester like me. It's been working great. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
  12. You have to remember guys that this is going to be an extremely detuned motor. That same motor with a smaller pulley and a chip will be putting down 6XX rwhp and close to 7XX RWTQ for very little $$.
  13. A pulley change isn't that light of a mod. With the Eaton you are creating a lot of heat by overspinning it. Almost all the cases related to Kenne Bell's frying a piston were tune related or a hose flew off creating a very lean condition. The funny part about this is that it's only happened to about 5 or 6 guys out of the 10,000+ modified Cobras running around and now it's a full blown epidemic. You've got to love the internet.
  14. It's all in the tune. You have to run them a little rich up top if your going to do some 160 mph blasts. These superchargers produce a lot of heat. From what I've seen and read on the subject it doesn't look like the Teflon is melting. It looks more like over expansion of the piston in the bore due to extreme heat. I run mine a little rich up top and my car has seen more top speed runs than I would like to admit. All runs were done on a closed course.
  15. Much better than my "Buns of Steel" video. smile.gif
  16. It won't be the GT engine. It's supposed to be the engine that was going into the Lightning. A three valve 5.4 with a twin screw.
  17. The stock unit is actually quite efficient. I run a 2.81 pulley and I've done some long repeated highway pulls without feeling any loss of power. But as John pointed out, if you add an upper/lower combo heat could become a problem and you might want to upgrade.

  19. You do have impressive track times. Just don't go messing with Cobra's on the street.
  20. I remember a certain Firebird getting beat by not 1 but two 03 Cobra's. A lot of HP not always such a good thing. tongue.gif
