  1. I got a nice big screw In my rear a few days after it was put on, super pissed, put a plug in it and have no problems with it at all. Nothing bad to say about battleax though, came on my bike when I got it and they were half way through were still pretty grippy. but there are longer lasting/better compound tires for street only use, just go with name brand and decide what you like.

Nothing wrong with plugging a like new tire though.

  2. If it ran shitty with new plugs you either:

    Got the wrong plugs

    Didn't gap them correctly

    Didn't install them correctly

Didn't get the caps on correctly.

An ecu should not have to get used to new plugs. Air filter I can see, because it will affect the efi feedback loop but spark plugs are just spark plugs.

Had the same thoughts when reading through, if it wasn't misfiring, but just running poorly, then I would think wrong plug or wrong gap.

If there was misfire then definitely check install and that caps are seated properly.

All basic stuff as we know, but I would assume he got the correct plug if he checked the numbers, gap could likely be problem. Don't know this specific bike, but could be a shoddy wire or coil too, plug wires are pretty easy to F up when changing plugs.

  3. Something good to do to your motorcycle every long while....

    -Paint your kickstand black again.

Just cleaned up the bitch and realized how much better the rusty and discolored stand could look, now it's much better [emoji4]

  4. Thanks! I just discovered this forum and it seems like an awesome group of people here. Read about 10-15 topics at least half way and did not see a single "bash" like I usually come across in other motorcycle specific forums.

Yeah, OR is definitely unique, one of the best forums ive been on and plenty of good people to meet. Welcome
  5. I lane split in heavy traffic at lights every now and then and never have issues, but most of the time there are a number of ass hats sitting on their phones with their tires riding the center line leaving very little space to even attempt.

I do ride up the turn lanes and then cross over when I get up front if that opportunity is there, it's best to do when you know the light isn't going to change right when you get there, so then you can stop in front of the first car and wait for green. I have anticipated lights pretty perfectly and scooted right through from the turn lane right as it changes, but you definitely have to be aware of oncoming traffic turning through yellows and such.

I'm always scoping out for BOYS before I do any risky maneuvers tho. California riders to have that luxury of the cagers being supportive of splitting and being more aware of riders in general. Can't tell you how many fuckers here merge into my lane while I'm right next to their window, no one in ohio likes to look over their damn shoulders or even turn their stupid faces 90°.

Best of luck to you though, I'm just north of cincy and can tell you drivers around here are far from good, but definitely not the worst.

  6. People are always yelling at me on the bike. They love seeing me out there, sharing the roads with them. It must be the spandex. Hell, I had one guy throw me his milkshake. He must have known I was hungry.

    People are so nice. :)

That was a simple metaphor.... trying to tell you he wanted to try your milkshake [emoji57]
  7. have 2 helmets that I do not need, come get them for free. maybe someone can do some crash testing with them, I don't care.

The shoei is a nice helmet but the padding is worn pretty good.

The other is a TMS modular helmet that was a gift, it has always been to large for me and I only worn it a couple times. Has integrated slide down sun visor, pretty cool helmet, not top notch quality, but not terrible..

  8. I meant if you don't speed around them you don't get a ticket. Sooner or later your friend will get a collection agency going after him...and they will ding his credit report. Unless he got lucky and the lost his records. It's all a Civil matter, so no warrant will ever be issued.

Well he got it like 2 years ago now, and even had a cop pull up his record a year later, looked online, nothing so far and probably never.

But these aren't considered equal to a normal speeding ticket other than not being stopped?
