  1. Did a lot of research, rode a lot of bikes, spent the extra money and got what I wanted and got lucky, Specialized was having a spring sale....508.25 out the door.
  2. It will be here next week.....lets just say its Special, its orange and has a disc.
  3. 5..5..2..2, that's a 10-4 in Kentucky. I got to see some really neat shit today. A road bike I could pick with my finger and the guy who owns the shop has a Fat bike that he has about 5 grand in it. I will get out and throw my 60 year old ass on them bikes and make a decision....THANKS
  4. The cannondale is 400, Trek is 450 set up and ready to go the DB is 360 and shipped to the house and I set it up.
  5. Lucky Dog I went out all day checking out bikes at the bike shops, and here is what i got it narrowed down too..... Trek 7.2 Cannondale Quick 6 Diamondback Insight 2 What do you think?
  6. Sweet Paul, what did you use for the rail?
  7. I will have to get this with the new bike http://2x2cycles.com/
  8. It looks like for the money I cant beat the Diamondback. Would it be worth the money to move up to the Insight 3 for 420 bucks or just stay with the 2?
  9. You boys sure make it hard to choose, I was just looking as some Giants, there are lot of good looking bikes to choose from, might have to get a Speedo to go with the bike.
  10. I sure wasted a lot of time at work today doing some research. I did find out that our Company has a PERKS program and Diamond back are 40% off. I can get a Insight 2 for 360 bucks or a Trace Sport for 390.
  11. That Sirrus in Red is neat also.
  12. Boy that diamondback looks cool....nothing against Trek, but it seems they are a lot like Harleys up where I live, everyone has one.
  13. 28 inch inseam, 5' 7", need handle bars taller, 90% on the street with very little traffic. We do have some great bike paths within 4 mile s from Lewisburg. I like what I have just need a more up right riding postion
  14. I bought a cheap ole Huffy about 3 years ago to help with the arthritis in the knees and stay somewhat active. I was not going to put a lot of money in a bike just to watch it rust in the garage if I was wasn’t going to ride it. But now I have custody of my 7 year old grandchild and we do a lot of riding and I am using it to ride to the store in town and run errands and do some small pleasure rides, so after hundreds of miles on my 100 dollar Huffy it is time to buy something worth riding and would like to get a few opinions on a new bike. I do like the mountain bike type tires cause I do ride in some slush from time to time in the winter. I also need to have a more up right riding position as I cannot ride for long periods bent over like on a sport bike. I also find that I do not use the 21 gears that I have now. I would like to stay around 400 dollars if possible. Is there anything out there for that price range or should I just keep the cheap ole Huffy?

  17. I was told when I had my FFL audited a couple of years ago that if I have a gun that has been in my ledger book for over a year that I can sell that gun as a private sale to anyone with out doing any paper work or background check.
  18. You could have your wife to fill out the paper work for her gun and you fill it out for yours. That would be the easy way.
  19. When you go to the first gun store they will do the background check and if it is "proceed" you will leave with the gun. When you go the the second store they will also have to do a back ground check before they can turn over the gun, so there is a possibility that the second store could get a" hold" and tell you that you had bought one in the past 30 days and you will have to wait or have that store will fill out the multiple gun form. It is no big deal to buy two a one time, the feds are just checking that you are not making a habit of it.
  20. Really not much in to guns cause I spend my shooting time shooting stick bows and wood arrows.....but I love my LCP, it is either in my front pocket, back pocket or coat pocket spring, summer, fall or winter where every I go. Just to easy to carry that sometimes you forget you have it on you. I just shoot it every couple of weeks or so to keep all the parts moving and lubed. Great little carry gun, pray to God I never have to use it.

  22. I have been over the years, but there have also been a lot of misses. You have to be patient and let deer get within 20 yards or less. Somtimes you see a lot of deer just out your comfort zone and you just enjoy watching them and let them pass by. Traditional bow hunting is not for everyone, but if you enjoy the outdoors and the serenity of sitting in the woods it can be very rewarding.
  23. Need to put meat in the freezer....that why I do it with a recurve bow.
  24. Sorry it was the Vodka.....gun deer season has always brought out the Rambos. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
