  1. Wow. Looks like I'm just missing everyone. My brother and I have planned a trip down there. I'll be travelling down on the 13th. If anyone is still around, let me know somehow. Be great to go all the way to Tennessee to meet some folks from Ohio. I'll be staying at a Cabin between Gatlingburg and Pigeon Forge.
  2. It's been a long while since I visited this forum, so I figured I'd finally comment on something again. I agree with a lot of posts already. I like to go a bit faster than the flow of traffic. Once I'm away from everyone, I just cruise. No need to hurry to the next clump of cars. I was just mentioning in a youtube clip the other day that I believe drivers should be road tested more often. I don't believe I've taken a driving test since I was 16, other than when I got my endorsement. I think many people just don't realize how much they're doing wrong now. Turning into the wrong lane, using the correct lane on the highway for your speed, using a turn signal... all things people need to be reeducated about. Also, I love the clip from Gumball Rally, Kenny. One last thing... I am glad to be back on this forum. With my new Speed Triple, I joined thespeedtriple forum and I have to say, every post... by the 2nd page, it's off topic.
  3. You get better insurance rates by using a GoPro? I've been moto vlogging recently and have a couple suggestions. First thing I noticed was the 50 minute video length. In my experience, a good video should be between 7-20 minutes. I have noticed a huge lack of interesting roads in Ohio, so I know that to make my videos interesting I need to talk about something. Whether you're doing reviews on your new motorcycle, talking about upgrades, gear, or anything else that might come to mind, I feel that you either need some scenic views or some interesting topics. I'm new to it myself, but that's just my 2 cents. Lucius
  4. I signed the petition. Didn't see the number go up at all. In any case, just because it may one day become legal, that doesn't mean it's required. Those that feel the need to do it and do it safely, great. Those that don't do it safely will pay the penalty sooner or later, but most likely the unsafe motorists are already unsafe. I just like the idea that if the need arises and lane splitting is legal, other motorists will better understand it and not be shocked when someone passed by them during a traffic jam.
  5. Installed Frame and Axle sliders on the FZ-07. Have a short givi windscreen on order and am eyeing an exhaust system.

    New Here

Welcome to the forum. I'm a newbie as well. Good people here.
  7. Today was a perfect riding day in my part of Ohio. I took the bike out for about an hour just riding around North Canton, Green, Springfield, and surrounding areas. If I didn't have to go home to do some laundry, I would've stayed gone all day.
  8. I love the 500, but I feel like I outgrew it too quick. Having had a cbr600 in the past, the 500 just felt like it was pretending to be a sportbike. Guess that's the difference between Sport and SuperSport. It is great around town and back roads. Great gas mileage. Very smooth and refined like Hondas always are. It will be getting replaced soon though. After just a year, I'm ready for an upgrade.
  9. I live in North Canton. I work up near Pepper Pike. I see there's a event at Deal's Gap in June. I'll be there just before that.
  10. I've been out several times so far this year. I think 4 times if I'm counting correctly. The third trip was to the dealer in the rain to get its first service. I hate riding in the rain, but sometimes you have no choice. I just ordered a set of rain gear from RevZilla so I can be more prepared next time. Took me a couple hours to totally dry out. Also need to get some baggies for my pocket contents, since my mesh jacket breathes air (and water) into the pockets too.
  11. Hello all. My name is Anthony. I use the name Lucius for my new YouTube channel. I've been riding off and on for about 15 years. I current ride a 2014 Honda CBR500. Now that the weather is improving, I'm out riding more often. I hope to find some good people on here that I can meet up and ride with once in a while.
