  1. Travis Tritt was a carpenter?!? who knew....
  2. FWIW, There has been a lot of motorcycle cop speed enforcement activity on 270 lately. Not just at drive times, but also in the evenings.
  3. And some of his past positions are :dumb: He also doesn't back Net Neutrality, which now that it is not regulated on the federal level will require the states to take a more active role. He is also one of those homophobic conservatives that thinks gay rights aren't a real thing. http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Mike_DeWine.htm Still, he's way more mainstream than a lot of what's floating around the GOP pool these days. I'm interested in seeing how Ohio swings this election.
  4. Dat Watkins Glen wheels though.....:masturboy:
  5. I looked at a similar setup for my daughter this year at Ikea. It was something like $480. We had to pass on it because she has a ceiling fan in her room that would interfere with the bed. Still, I don't think you can build one for that.
  6. Technically they are just the first generation "Range Rover", being made from 1970 to 1996. Only the 1994-1996 models that were made alongside the P38A were officially called "Classics" to differentiate two generations of the same model being sold at the same time. People just colloquially call them all "Classics" because it was easy and the car is basically unchanged for it's entire 26 year production run. A lot of what is driving the value of these up are the collectibility of the earlier models, plus an off road credibility that is almost equal to the defender. The later fist gen discovery by the way used a modified Range Rover Classic chassis.
  7. GLI looks sexy in white. I am not usually a fan of white cars (even though I drive one currently) but that's sharp. Put some red rim savers on the wheel lips and I betcha it would pop.
  8. you would think with all the porn stars he's had sex with he would be better at making people feel better about pulling out....
  9. https://www.harp.gov/Eligibility Yes it is technically true that you don't need to be underwater (you can have an LTV of 81-99% and not be considered underwater but qualify), in this particular situation he doesn't qualify because his first lien LTV would be below 80%.
  10. At more than 20% equity in your property I don't think you are even eligible for the program if you wanted to do it.
  11. https://www.harp.gov/about It's a relief program through re-financing. If you were one of those people who took out a mortgage prior to the financial crisis, and now the equity of your home as evaporated and you are stuck with a high interest rate - HARP helps you get out of that situation. It is limited to GSE investor (Fannie and Freddie) mortgages though.

  13. Usually between 40cc and 80cc. some of the bigger heavy duty ones can run up to 125ccs but those are like industrial or competition saws (I think the STIHL 880 is 121ccs and 8 hp).
  14. https://dayton.craigslist.org/mcy/d/this-bike-is-the-bomb/6568931093.html I heard this bike is da' bomb.... ok, I'll see myself out for that.
  15. No I get that. I mean it helps to have a goal in mind because it helps with parts selection. If you want to build an early motorcycle replica there are some very specific details you want. Old horn tank bikes make it easier to mount things like gas tanks and make it look old because they were designed to look like motorcycles to begin with. Schwinn made one form of tank bike or another until the 1970's so they aren't hard to find for cheap if you really look. If you just want something to wiz around on, any mountain bike bought from Walmart for cheap will work. actually it's probably easier to mount and no welding. All those trikes are designed to have a basket mount behind the seat between the rear wheels. If you take it off you can bolt a wood board to the basket mounts and then just bolt the engine to the board. You run the chain directly to the high gear on the rear drive sprocket and keep the pedals on the low gear and ditch the derailleur. That way when you are moving slow you are pedaling and then when you need to go faster the engine kicks in. electric bike guys like them because there is a lot of room for batteries and motor. Case in point: yeah any small gas engine with a centrifugal clutch will work. We used to use them for mini-bikes as kids. The secret is to get one with a low enough clutch speed so you can bump start it, some of our old mini-bikes as a kid took a big hill to get going because the clutch speed was high. The gearing does all the work in these scenarios.
  16. I helped a friend install a friction drive gas motor on his bicycle in the early 1990's. It wasn't hard for a bunch of teenagers without driver's licenses to do. It's probably the cheapest way to get the motorized bicycle experience but budget for rear tires because it will wear them down fast. My question is though, why do you want a motorized bicycle? Are you trying to replicate an old board track racing motorcycle from the 19-teens or a whizzer? or is it something else? For that vintage look without buying a kit, I would consider a schwinn cantilever frame with a springer front end or a worksman delivery bicycle, just because both have a reputation for taking abuse: https://cleveland.craigslist.org/bik/d/worksman-industrial-bicycle/6548540552.html you are probably better off buying someone else's project and re-doing it than doing your own from scratch. https://columbus.craigslist.org/bik/d/motorized-bicycle/6568152955.html https://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/bik/d/vintage-motorized-schwinn/6543441190.html Have you considered an adult tricycle? It will give you a nice easy platform to mount the engine and fuel tank to (between the rear wheels)
  17. I wonder if the people looking to pay decent money for these things want a 2" lift and bumping stereo? If the eventual plan is to sell it for stupid money - keep it all stock and make sure it all works, and make sure you get all the documentation, put it in a binder, and keep records of what you replace as well.
  18. Oh well....that happens sometimes. For those considering the car, Pontiac historical Services can send a build sheet and the info for a replacement Data tag. The vin identifies the car as a 1968 V8 sport coupe built at the Lordstown, Ohio plant. Given that it has the flat hood, no column shifter, and no hump trans tunnel I would guess it was a 326 ci automatic car originally. The perfect candidate for an LS swap hot rod or drag car. Good luck with sale.
  19. yes, you bought a 30 year old British luxury car. Kidding aside, nice score. I love these old range rovers, I'm still holding out for finding a reasonable 2 door in stick (yes they made them, and no they didn't import them here).
  20. no-one said you had to stop diddling your asshole just because you work in real estate. It's just now you have to diddle other's as well because you are selling them something. LOL.
  21. nice score. I'm glad you liked the car. Post some pics of it when you pick it up.
  22. My childhood friend and I restored his 1967 firebird convertible in highschool, I love these cars. These are really easy cars to work on and almost every single thing is available for them (including a complete new body if needed, and a 1 piece firewall to rear seat floor pan). Can you post a pic of the data tag? I am curious what the car left the factory as.
  23. Everyone is making a big fuss about ford making an exit from the sedan market, meanwhile FCA pretty much already did that with the exception of the charger. LOL. Getting back on topic for a second, where do we think the limits of the demon are?. 8’s? 7’s?, do you think we will see a street stock demon in the 6’s? How are these engines holding up to mods? Is there still meat in it like an LS motor? Or once you cross 1000 hp breakage is measured in hours not miles?
  24. you lost me at wanting a small car from FCA.... Another Off topic question: what's the smallest car FCA is thinking about putting the hellcat drivetrain into? we have the charger, challenger, and trackhawk GC - why can't we get a trackhawk wrangler or a trackhawk renegade?
  25. well...somethings don't change. Thing is, when you do pay for the optional seat, they don't give you the front seats out of a base model dart. With the Old Factory superstocks the passenger seat was optional (rear seat was non-existant because they wouldn't clear the wheel tubs) and your only seats were low back non adjustable buckets out of a base model dodge van. off topic for a second: I just realized does chrysler/dodge not sell a compact car anymore...WTH? I knew the dart was dead, I didn't realize that they got out of small cars entirely.
