  1. Agree with CSC... How's your oil level? Overfull could be a sign of gas getting to the crankcase as well. You could scar up rings, cylinder walls & more pretty quick if too much makes it into the crankcase. As a kid I loved motorcycles, ever since my parents first told me I couldn't have one
  2. Dang, sorry to hear that jhawk... Would the lights come on at least?
  3. Bel-Ray Super Clean, has always done the trick for me. It leaves the chain a nice white, makes it easy to tell when it's time to check it again. I like to spray in between the links as well as the rollers, on the top and bottom side of the chain. While it's warm too.
  4. Is this one of your first rides on it this year, and was the fuel stabilized over the winter? I don't believe anyone has mentioned checking the spark just yet... I'd recommend it as a way to check if it's electrical vs fuel. I've noticed some motorcycle tachometers run off of the spark signal to the coil also. Use a timing light while it's running and look for the light to cut out indicating the a miss in the spark. An alternative way to test... With the spark plugs, or a tester that can increase the spark gap, look for a miss in the spark while turning it over with the starter. Be sure to turn off the fuel, and disconnect the other spark plugs while testing each cylinder. Otherwise it may fire up & start running... possibly blowing fire into your face. It may or may not show up at cranking RPM's but could help diagnose the root cause without much hassle.
  5. Hey Blitz, I just seen this post. If you haven't already found someone to do this for you, I could. I'm out east in Pataskala, and it wouldn't take but a day or two. Shoot me a message if you'd like.
  6. Thanks all for the warm welcome!
  7. Been around for while, long time rider and garage junkie. Just wanted to say hello!
