Check into building a 1-MILE or roll vehicle... I got tired of the dig only stuff a long time ago. It's still fun from time to time but doesn't really get me excited. 1-Mile you can go a heck of lot faster and instead of letting up at 1/4-mile you can stay in it the entire time and really see how fast your toy is... :fuckyeah: That or start doing the airstrip races. They are getting more and more popluar and all over the country now. Another reason for that is you are doing easier starts or rolls so a LOT less stress on the driveline. You shouldn't be breaking stuff nearly as much. If you are doing 1-Mile you are racing yourself and only beating your own records/goals. You can go after other records for your class, platform, etc..but you are only out to have fun. If you want to do the side-by-side airstrip events and be in the running then be prepared to spend lots of money...

The guy clearly needs help but when he can't control himself, not much left to do at that point....regardless of who was in the wrong. Even then, no one was hurt and the cars don't even look seriously damaged so why was he all pissed. Serioulsy a couple $k bumper, really? And I don't know where you guys are from but if someone repeatedly brake checks you (i.e. road rage) to cause an accident, they are at fault. His life wouldn't be ruined. Nothing in that video would even allow them to sue and get anything. I think he was just giving an example if the Marine assualted him or things got worse.

When the fail of an LFA can't compete with the GTR for $400k, how the hell are they going to beat it for $60k? I hope it happens just don't see it...

I don't give a shit what that guy did, the Marine is out of line and out of control and needs mental help. He could have tailgated him for miles, the second you get out of your car and become a roadrage case you lose all rights in most states regardless who was in the wrong. Even if it was the trucks fault the insurance company is going to have a field day with this video. It doesn't matter what uniform you wear, you NEVER act like that...unacceptable in any circumstance...

It wasn't always like that but sometimes you've got to take the good with the bad...lol.

The car isn't even out yet so lets not bench race it... Negative, TrackRat ran something like a 10.6 @ 140 in her BOSS with a KenneBell setup everything else 100% stock...

I can't see that because the 1SS 1LE package is already in that place at $37k base over $40k with options... I'd think the LS7 engine and mods would get at least a $5k premium over that...

It's got to be around $50k or more....based on the other track models and ZL1...

The new track isn't like Goliad where you could record it from most angles. The new track you can't see after 3/4-mile unless you are at the finish/shutdown spectator area, so less ability to see. The only ones that will probably have GOOD footage will be Gearheadflicks or one of those that had bad a$$ camera's on top of the RV's recording the entire track... But it's coming, they have it...

When I was there talking with Rick/Jason, he said the officials took all the cameras and cards until they investigated the incident. Now that they have released them, they will make a full video very soon.

That is Valerie Thompson on her sponsored BMW, she went 212mph for a new 1000cc record! You don't want them crazy stretched but most people think they can hook out here like at the "prepped" dragstrip and it doesn't happen. It's all a learning experience and everyone has an idea of what's fast or will be fast..lol. Some would also rather have wheel-spin over wheelies at 180+, I like a little of both...

I had a few things happen but overall can't complain it was a GREAT weekend! Saturday first shakedown pass (very low boost): The start was SLOOOOOOW! VIDEO: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151510459089162 Second pass felt great but about the 3/4 mark I felt something hit my leg and let up, coasting through the traps... Second pass: On this run my lower fairings disintegrated somewhere around 220mph... Taped it up and decided to run "half naked" on Sunday and turned up the boost a little! :gabe: Now I was fighting wheelies in 1st-4th gear and spinning in 5th/6th at STOCK wheelbase low boost-2nd setting... Third pass: Fourth pass: At this point, I more than met my goal of 220+ for the low boost setting and was happy to have a SAFE and FUN weekend so packed up and headed home. I've got a LOT left on the table but I'll save it for another day. Was a GREAT weekend to be back racing! :fuckyeah:
