That is CRAZY talk, it's a flipping Jeep,....if you aren't getting it for invoice or less you aren't trying very hard. Heck, get a one way plane ticket and fly to get one. $200 flight and save $2-5k+ depending on the model...

Who actually uses those sites to buy? Truecar, cars.com, etc...are only for invoice price researching. Once you know the price/amount, just send an email to your local dealers telling what you are willing to pay and wait for a response. No reason to even deal with those scam sites...

My thoughts are go rent/buy a BMW and see how other drivers treat you. Some people are complete idiots and the article is speaking to them but many people also treat luxury car owners differently which is BS. It's like jealous high school BS but with cars, who cars what kind of car you drive seriously... Men age 35-50 really? I don't know many BMW owners even in that age groupe...lol.

I'd do it if I could just fly and not deal with all the military BS. I was trying to do a Guard gig down here in Houston after I got out but they said I'd have to go back active for 2-years to get my IP time. Said no thanks,...and glad I didn't because they BRAC'd the F-16's at Ellington soon after I moved back to Houston. I'm living the dream now on the civilian side with my other job so no reason to go back and take a pay cut..lol.

I did like it before for racing but now I'm glad it's paved because it was a pain driving up it before behind clueless people...

I'd like to see some more results.... 100-200km 2.89s is about on par with some of the AMS/UGR setups 60-130...

I'm ready to see what they run in 1-Mile since the fastest car (racing) at that event was only geared to around 225mph. The two other cars that "apparently" make more power didn't run at the 1/2 either so it will be interesting... I'm also ready to turn up the boost and see if I can get 200+ in the 1/2 personally and 230+ in the Mile... :lolguy: :lolguy: I'm just happy that on my pump/low boost setting I ran similar speeds as Peter's car on pump gas/low boost...

You should have heard the sound from the start line... Actually that was only a 1/2-mile event.....the 1-Mile runs start in October. It's a LOT harder than people think to add MPH once you get over 200mph+. The aero and HP needed is just unreal at those speeds...

Cops a douche and guy on camera is responding like a douche. Obviously there is more to the story. How often do you know cops by name even in a small town unless there is history? Based on the footage cop is completely out of line and needs some retraining. Exactly! It's all fun and games until it's you or someone in your family that's killed by his lack of control... ..on a side not, I guess they don't have weight standards in that unit... :lolguy:

Congrats man! Enjoy the little things that make you smile/laugh and take lots of pics. They change so much especially in the first year....you'll be amazed looking back. Also, remember you and your wife are on the same team. Stick together through and through....kids change EVERYTHING so be flexible and have an open mind. Try not to let the little stuff bother you...
