Looks very nice! Love the stock exterior look...
-
Congrats!
Same one as before? How many miles?
Stock?
Congrats, doesn't take much to make a C6Z go 10s in the upper 130s with a good driver...good luck!Fixed...

It depends how radical you plan to take it.
Will this be a bolton only car?
If you plan to do the basics with spray, I'd say a Z06. If you plan to TT/Supercharge it later, I would probably go with a GS (if it's just the Targa you want).
The LS7 can be a great FI car but if you are going all out, I'd probably still go with the GS unless you have $100k to blow away.
. And IMO is the best looking version of the C6.The GS looks exactly the same as a Z06, same fenders and everything....
-
I say it depends on your plans.....not to mention you can get an auto in the GS from the factory...
-
I still love it and the SS model...

You have to run all the numbers. If you don't plan to be there more than x time then normally it doesn't $ make sense. If you will be there for several years than it can pay off, you have to do the math and see what works for YOU and the situation!

If coverages are the same *read the fine print* and if you are happy go for it...

Don't shoot the messanger. Insurance is a state regulated business, the state has the final say in approving the way companies calculate risk.
Nothing against you, its just insane....as if suddenly when kids turn 16 they get the idea to take out there parents car....... :lolguy:

cant possibly be real, wouldnt the dude at the counter have noticed?
Did you miss the part about him chasing him out the door? :lolguy:

Agent isn't blowing smoke, unless there's more drivers than cars all drivers are assigned to a car and all are considered primary operators. Only way around that is to proove that the child is away at college over 100 miles from home and the car still is garaged at the primary residence.
I wrote insurance rating logic for 10 years, Depending on standard vs. nonstandard logic drivers were either averaged as a whole and that average factor applied against all vehicles, or for nonstandard risk we automatically rate the highest rated driver vs. the highest rated vehicle.
The problem with rolling the kid and the car off on their own policy is it's usually MUCH more expensive that way, if you're just trying to isolate it so that the kid can pay their own insurance policy they will still get some of the benefits of being in your household but not all of the same benefits of just being on the same policy as you. So if your kid is paying their own insurance cool, otherwise keep them on your policy it will save you money if you're footing the bill.
...and that is completely ridiculous!
I remember them trying that crap when my brother turned 16 and my parents fought it. My Dad had a Porsche that sat in the garage and was driven on weekends only. They tried to put my brother as the primary driver on it. Knowing that he would NEVER drive the car, that's just silly.
Even after that, my parents had more than three cars and my brother and I were NEVER primary on any of them until we got our own policy...

Funny you should say this. I was just talking to a buddy the other day (Big gun collector/dumbass with money) and he said he'd sell his for $1650. Pm me if you're interested and I can get you more details.
The only ones going for that much are Chrome or Titanium Gold, unless he's done a lot to it or has extras....

For Tial 770's + Fueling + Rods + FMIC ect. You would probably come in at around $8-10K. Want to go 2.8 / 3L stroker & built top end, toss in another couple G's. For going big turbo most people usually calculate 10-15K depending on who's doing the labor, and state of current motor (maintenance items).
The cars can be had cheap nowadays....
I really wish I would have bought Brian's.... :fuuuu:
Is that estimate including the car?Uh....no! Not even close...

Here's an easy way to take care of this particular problem (and get a few points back):
Odd number months: Buy something small, like lunch at Chipotle.
Even number months: Wait until your billing cycle turns over so the balance gets reported to the bureaus, but make no new purchases. Pay off the balance as normal, which will also be reported to the bureaus.
Rinse and repeat
That's my problem, I hate having any balance over any billing cycle. It makes sense but is so bass ackwards that I need some kind of debt to look stable under credit report rules.

So how much $$$ are we talking in the Audi to pull a 600whp Supra like that?
Any info on the Audi?

I wonder if everyone in this thread clamoring about balanced budgets etc would be as willing to state their opinion if their credit score was attached to their comments.
Yep!
The first time I saw this, I didn't believe it.I thought that our tax revenue had to be WAY larger than 2.1 trillion.
After digging I found it to be true.
Now here is the CRAZY part....
Regular income taxes received were almost the same as social security taxes received...
Wait a minute... WHAT?!?? Our current social security tax rate is 4.5%. The only difference is, if you have 5 kids and make 15k social security doesn't still give you a 10k refund like our federal tax does under the current IRS code...
So as a country our effective Federal tax rate is 4.x %. Yet they want 33% from me.... F that

Tell me about it... :fuuuu:
792 last I looked. I was dinged for:- Not enough installment accounts (The car's been paid off for 4 years, and my rent is significantly below market average, so there's no incentive to house hunt until the wedding's done and we're ready for kids)
- Not enough revolving accounts (I have two CC's, paid off every month)
- Usage ratio (Because the cards are paid off and my limits are high, it's a risk to the banks that I might suddenly go on a spending binge)
Pretty much spot on with me but mines down to 763 and falling because of it...
I have one CC and its not even showing on my report, no usage on it because I pay it off the second I get home (and high limit), and no open accounts other than my home...
Funny part is I've worked harder/longer to earn mine and have had more stuff in my name paid off but my wifes is 800+... :lolguy:

^^^....its beyond scary!
When will people GET A CLUE!!!
You can't spend more than you make, why should the government.....STOP THIS NOW!!!
MAKE A BUDGET AND STICK TO IT....PERIOD!!!

Its the 3rd vehicle, not necessarily the teen driver. With 3 cars, it automatically lists him as a primary driver. 3 drivers 3 cars. Even if I had just a car I kept in the garage and never drove it would still screw me.
It doesn't have to be...
If thats what your current ins co is saying then I would just have him get his own policy in his name and you pay the bill (if you are paying it now).
Otherwise, keep shopping around...

Seeing people on this board vote for Obama, Romney, ect. just reassures my belief of the following:
1. People on this board have no understanding of our financial system, fiat currency, or basic economics.
2. Those people also do not own homes
3. Those people do not work, pay taxes, or have benefits
4. Those poeple do not realize that establishment candidates have reversed in a few decades, over 800 years of struggle in this country to create our constitution/bill of rights.
I believe that what Obama did by signing the NDAA into law is treason. Anyone who votes for him does not deserve to be an American because they have no belief in the Constitution and have no respect for our country or the ones who died creating it.
There's a lot that you don't see living in your parents basement, washing a Corvette or Audi that your daddy bought you.
+1 (minus the 800-years part)
We need a BIG change and I think Ron Paul is our only hope with the current candidates. I'm tired of all the same crap and for people saying RP just goes off. Well, do the research on what he's talking about...most of it he's on point.
We need people to fix the system and hold people accountable. From the President through Congress and everyone right down the line. These are positions that need to have term limits and are no longer lifetime careers. Serve your country and return to your real job. These guys getting rich off the policies/laws they pass is beyond ridiculous. Not to mention making themselves not subject to the same laws/rules as citizens is absurd...
....and for those voting for Obama because of FREE healthcare. Go educate yourself and get a job that will EARN it on your own!

Seriously, whoever produces his stuff needs to get with SPEED and deliver these shows on TV....

I will call her tomorrow. I guess this is all relative to what one person sees as a fair price forinsurance vs another. I should have started a thread asking how much do you pay for 3 cars and a teenage driver.
Not much you can do with a teen driver unless you show them as a secondary on one of the adults cars. If you have them as the primary with there own vehicle, the ins. co is going to rape you.
I paid $300 a month for my insurance when I was a teen.... :dumb:

If you are military or have family that is, get setup with USAA!
