As stated, this has been going on for thousands of years, and it has always been directed towards christianity and Judaism "The West".  Get over your liberal talking points and understand this is way deeper than Bush or any other modern president.

I think you've answered your own question. These groups have been at war with each other since they were tribal nomads, the inclusion of western-aimed ire started when we went into the area in search of oil and started to take sides. It's less to do with oil and more to do with "you gave someone I don't like stuff so now you're my enemy too".

I get what you are saying but think of it this way.  If after prohibition was repealed they had only allowed 10 companies to make alcohol/beer in the US would that have flown?  No, and even if it had passed it would have just led to a continued underground.  Which the whole point of these kind of laws is to seriously disrupt due to its criminal nature.  I thought competition was good???  If after a few years they have consolidated to 10 profitable businesses so be it but to start it from the get go with a max that rubs people the wrong way. 

Rotary engines are cool, but didn't the RX-8 struggle to break 20 mpg with a 1.3 liter??  Until they fix that, it's not going to be viable for them to sell.

It was a 1.3L with 3L V6 HP of course the mileage wasn't going to be great.  It wasn't much worse than those V6 cars though if you look.  Mazda rotaries are high specific output engines which means no fuel economy.  But there are few engines more fun to drive than a rotary.  Silky smooth linear power.  I still toy with the idea of picking up an 8 with the knowledge I would be rebuilding/replacing the engine fairly quickly.  They are just so much fun to drive and have four doors for the other half and kid of course. 

My take is the way 3 was written is why it failed.  So if the folks that draft the next version without the created oligopoly I think it would pass.  Hell CO was voting on what to do with all the extra tax revenue this year.  What a terrible problem to have.

I voted for it in CO.  I liked their setup.  A fixed amount went to schools each year and the rest to the general coffers.  Better schools without me paying a dime more?  Sign me up any day.  The taxpayers were actually due a special refund of taxes because of the amount brought in.  I think I will miss that due to the timing of my leaving. 

Based on what I've seen and read in the media, the injured aren't likely to recoup much if any of their medical expenses, and even less likely to get a satisfactory pain/suffering settlement.  Crum appears to live in trailer park, so even if he actually owns the trailer and land, it isn't worth much.  Plus, his obvious lack of respect to the rule of law--based on his prior run-ins that involve aggravated menacing with a vehicle--would make it pretty unlikely that he carries any real amount of insurance.  You could suspend his license for life, but I'd put odds on that he'd end up driving anyway.

Hopefully the rider had his own high limits because auto liability insurance does not typically cover intentional acts; which this appears to be based on what I read in this thread.
