  1. Hey guys, hope you all are having a relaxing weekend I'm wondering where would be a good place to change a pair of tires in the Dublin/Hilliard area, size is 295/35/18. There was a family-owned shop in Miami that would mount low profile tires for $15 each, though it seems like the major shops around Columbus are quoting me between $30 and $50 per tire (Tire Kingdom said $80 per tire lol :no:) Any recommendations from the locals here would definitely be appreciated.   3. Hey guys, I was planning to change the manual tranny fluid in my 2002 Mercury Cougar back in September, but unfortunately got too tied up with work and other car projects to get to it. I don't really want to lay out under my car in this cold of weather. Would you guys be able to recommend a shop in the Dublin or Hilliard area that can do the labor for cheap? I already have the fluid, and the draining/refilling process is notoriously easy for Focus/Cougar 5-speeds, just too cold/wet outside to be working on a car right now lol Thanks in advance!
  4. Yeah, definitely agree, The NSX looks freakin baller, but those fan blade wheels offsets the styling balance of the car.

  6. Al Gore says that if we keep driving around in gas guzzling sports cars, the midwest will have tropical weather and a beach in a few short years. Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
  7. I don't mind Apple products, I just think a good number of the owners tend to be tools lol. I use a 8GB Sandisk Sansa with 16GB MicroSD card for music during my workouts. It's thin and the armband is comfortable. Goes well with Sennheiser CX300 earphones and shirt clip If you're looking for a multimedia mp3 player though, I'd probably say the Zune is a better choice.

  9. iPhone/iPad uses a separate app to handle youtube and vimeo. If you go to the browser and to to youtube.com, and then play a video, the youtube app launches in full screen and plays the video. Android has a youtube app as well, but it can also play the video within the browser as you would see it on a computer. This way you can have multiple tabs of youtube videos open, as well as playing flash based videos from many other websites (mostly porn lol).
  10. I chose my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 over the iPad. Simply put, it allows you to do more things. Apple products are like bicycles with training wheels. If you're not tech savy and want a piece of technology that's watered down. The iPad is a good option. If you want more control and customization of settings without Apple standing over you, Android would be the better option. One thing I'm not happy about is the lack of fluidness in the interface when rearranging the icons. Apple animations are a bit smoother, but they're also simpler. A big factor is that Android also handles flash within the browser (youtube, vimeo, etc.), whereas Apple does not.
  11. I brake hard from 60 to 10 about 10 times, just make sure not to lock the brakes or kick on ABS. After going through this procedure, drive around for 10-20 minutes without using the brakes and then pull over for half an hour to let them cool. You should smell the brakes in this process after 5 or so repetitions, depending on the pads. This procedure is pretty standard across most manufacturers, some recommend a 2nd bedding process as well. Have fun!
  12. I've driven one and it really takes no skill whatsoever if you're just going in a straight line. Low-mid 11s shouldn't be much of an issue for a stock GTR on OEM tires.
  13. I've purchased maybe 10 or 15 pairs of DDM HID kits, and while they are better than ebay kits, they're not the best. I did notice a difference between 4500K and 5000K, as well as 6000K and 8000K, so I'm not sure on the false advertising thing. But one thing I do hate is their so-called "Lifetime Warranty". The customer service rep was really nice, and apologized for their returns and exchanges policy being so crappy, but the first exchange I had to initiate was on a pair of failed bulbs. I sent the bulbs in and received new bulbs almost 3 months later. That's pretty unacceptable, but at least they sent me the bulbs. On my latest dealing with their warranty, the control unit that switched between the High/Low functions on my headlights had failed within 6 months. I recognized that it was a relay issue because the bulbs would flicker on/off if I shook the control unit. I called in and received an RMA, but was still charged $40 for a non-refundable deposit and some processing fee, plus $7.50 to ship the unit to them (the entire kit was $70). Received a new unit 2 months later, and that was that. My friend then had the same issue with the DDM high/low control unit a month later in his car. I called in for an RMA, but learned that because I had cut a few of the wires going to the control unit to shorten them and not have a wad of extra wire tied off, the unit was non exchangeable because according to DDM, the unit and harness had been "modified". Their prices are great for what they offer in terms of HID components, but their warranty is just about worthless.
  14. lol thanks guys, my job brought me to Columbus after college. I received my degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering in May, and interviewed with every automaker with a significant US presence soon after. It was a tough choice but in the end, I chose Honda R&D in Raymond, OH, and started in July. I really like the people here in Columbus as well as the work ethic. I think winter will be fun, perfect weather every day of the year does get boring sometimes lol! Mod list is pretty long, currently has some suspension parts, bolt-ons, and nitrous. I have a Procharger waiting to go on in the spring.
