Yes that's with the tender adapter. Her are the same test unplugged.
Wow, so the phone is pulling about 1.5A from a 2.1A USB port. Impressive! If my phone still discharges after trying the new work-around, I'll try a Battery Tender port. Unless my phone's issue is battery calibration or something. It dropped into the 80's from 100 with the cable connected for navigation only.

Looks like I got caught with my clutch cable lock nut undone.

This is what I got...
Test one was with a shit ton of apps running, 2 tracker apps, 2 GPS apps, Pandora was running and screen on bright with the led flashlight on.
Second test was after all apps were shut down and running things at a minimum.
Looks pretty good. Is that through the Battery Tender?
How about without the charger connected?

I've had 3 different phones too.
Galaxy S3, S5 and now S7
All better phones than mine. Maybe I should get one of those. (I never really cared for a smart phone before, so I just got a cheap J1.)
Higher current (or higher voltage) could be signaled by specific voltages on the data lines, or shorting the data lines. There is a cable that has built-in resistors to put voltage on the data lines. The charger is supposed to handle that though. Maybe the Battery Tender does that? Clearly my USB port doesn't do what my phone is expecting, and I've read that other people have had slow charging with the Battery Tender even. Just need the right combination for it to work, I guess.
Apple does something more complicated, probably so you have to buy their cables and chargers. Partly why I don't like Apple products.

Different phones and chargers may use different ways to signal that they can handle more current. In my case it seems to be shorted data lines. I ordered a specific data blocker that should also trick the phone into drawing more current. The same company also makes a cable that shorts the data lines, but I already have a nice cable. Anyway, the data blocker could be used with any cable, so that's convenient. It's just a little big.

Wish I had that option a few years ago. I paid for diversion in 2 countries in 2 months.... Bad summer...
Countries or counties?? Not as bad as when I got 4 tickets in one stop! haha

F-it. Maybe it would be easier to get an SAE to cigarette socket and an Adaptive car charger. That should set up higher current charging automatically, and I could still use my pretty red cable.
-
BTW, using a random cable, the phone lost charge while on the charger with Google Maps running, the screen on full brightness, and active Bluetooth. I'm guessing the screen was doing most of the killing. The Anker cable alone may or may not be able to handle it. I'm thinking, no.
What I'd like to get or make is a small, USB pass-through connector that cleanly shorts the data pins without needing to mod the cable or charger. Anyone have something like that?
-
Shorting the data lines at the Android end doubled the charging current using an Anker cable and a 3A USB charger. I used an old USB extension cable to play with the data lines. The Anker cable was better than some random, skinny cable, but no better than a stock Samsung cable for current in this case.

The program is 2 hours and anywhere from 150-280.... Every county price is different. He can do it before the date too. But that means he enters a guilty plea, just won't get points....I've done this too.
What it sounds like to me is court cost, roughly $25 fee for online program, and maybe some other fee(s). I did read that on Marysville you still have to pay the fine and that you can sign up in advance. He wasn't caught in Marysville though.
This is from the prosecutor's officer: "Completion of the Program results in a dismissal of his charges. If he ends up completing the Program, he will not have to enter any plea with the judge."

The ticket did list the vehicle code violation, but not the fine. I was told to have him show up on the court date and talk to the prosecutor's people about eligibility for the Diversion Program. Court date is Halloween day, so nice clothes will be the costume.
-
...and then I found the fine info indirectly. http://www.fcmcclerk.com/documents/local-rules/FCMC-Local-Rule-13-Schedule-05.04.pdf

Searched and found no info on actual fines, but I did find the Traffic Diversion Program. Digging into that. http://www.columbuscityattorney.org/prosecution-diversion.aspx

Ah, OK. The last time I got a ticket it was marked by hand and had a chart for fines and/or had the amount printed on it. I'm happy to say it's been that long.
-
My son recently got a speeding ticket. It was printed out, but it doesn't show the fine amount or the vehicle code that he violated. Is that typical or is something missing? (It would be nice if that invalidated the ticket!) He was 21 over in a 65 zone.

What's up with people crashing out on the last lap? They weren't even close to the front. And everyone cuts that one corner.

The RC Cup is going away? Anything to replace it? What's the R3 for?

That poor 650R... "worth the repairs for someone who can handle a big fast bike." I never considered my 650R to be in the big, fast bike category... this made me lol.
Same. Either a sales pitch or that particular person found it too powerful somehow. It's never felt like the front would come off the ground or the rear would slip, so I don't know. heh I guess it would cost a bit more to make it like this TT race winner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf4bXFOg8JQ

We will be listing Gavin's 390 from last season shortly as we're switching to the R3 for next season. Picked the new bike up at 9am this morning and on way back with it now so the 390 is on the block. PM me if seriously interested for details, pricing and included extras
Heh. After seeing that video of the KTM Cup, I thought, what about a 390?
I wonder if this has any potential? https://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2008-kawasaki-ninja-ex-650/6318517832.html

I see in the reviews that people have hacked that unit to use external batteries because the coin cell dies quick.
WD-40...on tires!

"Clean Tires: Revive tired-looking tires by applying WD-40 and scrubbing them down with finest (0000) steel wool. Whether black-walls or white-walls, they’ll gleam with new life." Sounds like a good way to die. I guess that tip is meant for car tire sidewalls! Wait, are those car wheels?
