I keep seeing on here that the westland mall show is not worth going to,so I've never attended. If it was,I would drive down from Cleveland to attend it. I'm used to the good shows up here at Medina,Akron,and Berea. Over Thanksgiving I was down in North Carolina and attended the C&E show in Charlotte,a large show of 600 tables. All that cheap ammo and clips they were selling there,prices of the past compared to what's happening nowadays. Some of the dealers had used USGI 30rd AR clips for $8.00. Some of the vendors there told me it was small compared to the C&E shows in Raliegh and Winston-Salem which are 800-1000 table shows.

I used to shoot Rem 700s',6mm Rem ADL,17Rem BDL,30-06 ADL,those are gone and replaced by a Savage Model 10 in 223Rem and a Savage Model 11 in 308win.

Just prepping for the spring when I can try them and figured I needed some better targets. I'm just a 'paper puncher' and don't hunt. Since I have AR in 5.56 and 7.62,decent bolt actions in those would be complimentary.

Photoshop made some targets,need some opinions. There are a tremendous amount/variety available on google/images/targets,but didn't see anything I liked.

They're 8.5x11 for printout,squares are 1".

go to a coin show(as long as it's not a little local show),seems,that nowadays,there's more silver/gold action than coin action. Go just to learn and see what's available.

Planning on coming down from the Cleveland area. Had about 6 others that were interested,but they all seem to be no longer interested,so it might be me and 1 other car. Gonna stop a Fin Fur Feather in Ashland since I'll be passing right by it.

'Cordell' had a set of axles that I said I would buy when I came down to that area,but he's not responding to my recent PM.

I'm up by Cleveland,I don't know how many QS&Ls' are down your way. The Polaris QS&L is one of the gathering spots for OHIOLSX.

the 2 big holes are for a 'case spreader' used by the manufacturer and dealers to install carrier shims to set 'lash'.

because it has the reluctor ring on the carrier,it's a 3 channel rearend (ABS only). a 4 channel (ABS & traction control) rearend would a reluctor on each axle.

 

a transbrake shocks the rearend just like a 6 speed does.

I just googled springfield armory and it took me there.

they had the same set on sale for the same price about a month ago,I was thinkung about it then.

at the Berea(cleveland suburb) gun show this past weekend,Federal 223/5.56 55fmj was at 175 per 500,same as internet pricing. didn't look at other calibers,but lot of bulk was available,and everything seemed to be available.

I've taken graphics and changed them to meet their needs,it doesn't make it better it just makes it compatible with their equipment.

interested in the axles,how deteriorated are the bearing surface areas ?

when my OEM pump was starting to fail in 2003,looking at the threads on ls1tech about dropping the tank or cutting an access 'hole',didn't think twice,cut the hole. Used a Granatelli from Summit and bought a spare to carry with me since I had the 'hole' cut. In 2006 during a trip to Florida,that pump died on I75,took me 15 minutes to put in the spare I had and that pump's been running since then. The OEM pump and the Granatelli replacement I have a tendency to blame a 'getting dirty' fuel filter. The dirtier the filter,the more the pump has to work to get fuel thru.

when you follow a car down the strip,hold on the ET board a little longer and not 'cut' away so quickly so ETs can be seen.
