4511.84 Earphones or earplugs on operator prohibited.

    (A) No person shall operate a motor vehicle while wearing earphones over, or earplugs in, both ears. As used in this section, "earphones" means any headset, radio, tape player, or other similar device that provides the listener with radio programs, music, or other recorded information through a device attached to the head and that covers all or a portion of both ears. "Earphones" does not include speakers or other listening devices that are built into protective headgear.

So does this mean that those who use a Sena or other type of communication device, where the speakers are fitted into the helmet do not fall under this? You could technically say they are built in..

Have to carry an epipen for Isaac. What do you consider a "ridiculous" amount of money? I spend more each year in motorcycle tires than the implement that may very well save his life one day.

Before insurance and discount card we got from the family doc, we were looking at close to $600. Out of pocket we ended up around $200 for the set. That isn't a ridiculous amount by far, but if we didn't have insurance....

Living in SEO, where there is a high rate of unemployment, I can't imagine folks who don't have good insurance to help defray that cost.

  3. What I *REALLY* hate about the drug problems is the fact that some junkie can go out there, shoot up and OD, call the paramedics, get dosed with Narcan and be brought back to go shoot up some more, and it doesn't cost them. And no, it doesn't cost them, because do you think a junkie is gonna pay their medical bills? HELL no. My ex and I have to keep an EpiPen for our son who has a peanut allergy on hand for most everywhere we go. Thankfully, he's at the lower end of the spectrum of the allergy, but with us being "responsible" adults with jobs and insurance have to fork out a RIDICULOUS amount of money for this as a preventative measure. And we have to buy 2, because our school system here requires us to provide the school with one for him and then we carry one with us.

@DerekClouser we should take a recon trip down and see and talk to people to make this a little easier.  Just like New Concord.  Then it will be official with no surprises.

With the awesome weather we're supposed to be having this weekend, I can run the route on Sunday and see what kind of options there is and report back. Or..c'mon down for a scouting run and see for yourselves! Just give @JustinNck1 or myself a shout if you need anything.
