  1. This is why I like to run sweep. I don't hold anyone up and I make sure that everyone makes it to the next turn in the road. I don't have to impress anyone with anything other than the fact I made it to home at the end of the day. I've only been on a couple of rides with the group, but routinely ride with @JustinNck1 who is considerably faster than I. We both know that when I slack back, he takes off and eventually I will catch back up. Just ride your ride and don't worry about it. Unless its stated from the get go that the pace will be Mach Retard, then Caveat Emptor.

  2. I've got a pair of these, black/hi-viz yellow that I bought based on the sizing chart and they don't fit at all. Supposedly for a 40" waist..yeah...not happening. Maybe a 34" waist. They're going on eBay for around 150 to 175 new. I'd like $100 and I'll meet anyone on the forum in person vs shipping them if you buy them.

  4. Here's my .02, not that it matters to anyone else:

If you ride a motorcycle, you know the inherent danger presented to you. Therefore you should be able to chose if you want to wear a helmet or not. I, for one, value my head and my face. it may not be the prettiest or the smartest one out there, but it's mine. I'll take care of it by wearing a helmet, and a full face one at that. I know I stand a better chance of survival and not being a vegetable or looking like Sloth from The Goonies should I crash.

It should also be said that by signing the title or whatever for your motorcycle that you acknowledge said inherent risks and should you decide to not wear any protective gear, that you assume all liable risk and injury. And if you take a header (pun intended) that you're responsible for yourself and whatever medical issues arise from your own doings. Don't live off of my paycheck, there are already enough wastes of space doing that.

Again..this is my opinion, and mine only.

  5. @hiro Not sure where you're located at, but make a trip somewhere that you can try each one on for the best fitment. I prefer the Shoei Neotec over just about everything except my Suomy Apex or Spec 1R. If I could squeeze a Sena into the Suomy I'd have gone with that, but decided that  a modular would fit my needs the best at the moment.

Doesn't matter. I rode Nivin's FJR and I'll not ride another one.

The Gen 3 (13 and up) are head and shoulders above the rest. I'll let you take mine out sometime. If you crash it, total it is all I ask.

@Al Z. Heimer look into a Russel Day Long, Laam, or even a Terry's Custom saddle. They are a HUGE improvement over stock. The Gen 2 were notorious for heat issues, but the Gen 1 was even worse from what I understand.
