  1. Personal Day on account of Weather! Who's riding today? I'll be around Newark, Buckeye Lake, maybe Zanesville...? Wherever the road takes me. Let me know where you're at and we can put some miles down before the rain comes tomorrow.
  2. Interesting piece of info. Nice guy nevertheless. Can't wait to get back out for some fun. My youngest got a 4 stroke 90cc for his 5th bday and I've just finished muffler restriction plate removal, air box mod, acid dipping the mid pipe and dropping 2 teeth off the front sprocket for my oldest on his pw80. (It's got a little bit more pep now 🙂) He just turned 7 and I just put all new plastics on it. He can't wait to ride in the morning.
  3. So I checked this place out a couple months ago and it was amazing. My 5 and 7 yr olds (4 and 6 at the time) loved it. Very well built motocross facility. Lots of room for parking. The owner was around and checked in with us a couple times to see how we were doing and if the kids were enjoying the track.
  4. I might have to make this trip to 28 Motorsports as well. My GL500 needs something done with the front end. 👍🏼
  5. Yes progressive springs. Air adjustable progressive springs. .......🤬 . I got this bike as a gift from my Dad. Something he traded for something he got on a trade for something. Idk I'm not super attached to it and he even said if I can trade up, there's nothing wrong with that. I really enjoy the history of motorcycles and this GL500 SilverWing definitely fits into the more interesting side of Honda Engineering.
  6. I added a 1.5" spacer when I changed the fork oil. Helped some with the preload but not so much the height. And it was a total pain ITA. I read some guys had no problem. Mine fork caps about got my face a time or two with a nice spring driven backfire . I don't really want to spend a bunch of money. But I definitely want a more aggressive feel.
  7. So last fall my front forks started to sag a little bit. Not terrible but noticable. This spring I set it up straight of the side stand and the front forks pretty well collapse. I added some air and they came up some but not to where I remember they used to be. So I'm working on the stance and I think it's better but the front air forks are just not stiff enough. Changed the fork oil with 215ml in each fork, using 50/50 ATF/10w30. (Read quite a few people are using this blend and like it) Forks definitely feel more consistent but still just weak feeling. Any suggestions? Tubes, springs, trees, what can I do?
  8. What time to taking off from hocking? I maybe interested in meeting you somewhere along the way. My little brother needs some road time anyways. It would be a good ride for us coming from Newark.
  9. @MSerfozo That looks like pretty nice use of lock down time on the yard. @Pauly what exactly are you trying to accomplish with a BMW dirt rocket?
  10. So as the title says, is anyone working on any project bikes, scooters, quads, side-x-sides? Here's what me and my little brother been working on. In chronological order.
  11. Hey you still have this? My little brother needs a jacket.
  12. Selling as is. Engine rolls over freely. Dual Carbs. No electronics. $150 obo gets it out of my garage. Open to fair value trades, you don't know unless you ask.
  13. I'll have to check out the rear wheel to be sure, but I think it's off of the 91 nighthawk heart donor. The swingarm that was on the Suzuki when I got it was not from Suzuki and I wasn't about to play a game of "guess the size of the swing arm bearings". So we chopped about 1.5"-2" off both sides from the pivot point of the Honda arm. I HAVE A BUNCH OF BUILD PICS Pics from the for sale listing that triggered this build.
  14. Ok then. No takers? A 500lb +/- butt rocket. 1. Suzuki GS550E rolling Frame w/title. 2. Running CB750 DOHC off of a totaled bike with all the electrical components. 3. twisted brainstorming/fabrication 4. bring on the naysayers Hahahaha. Tell me it can't be done and I'll prove you and your thinking wrong 99% of the time.
