I was at a site today doing an install. It was a building on the race stretch of Charter, and I recall years ago parking in this same parking lot to watch the end of the race. Those years are gone, and some people need to come to the realization it won't change (at least around here). This shit goes on in other cities because they don't have the fucking lawmakers and media hounding to pass laws crushing people's cars, hefty fines, etc. Is it fair to us? No. But we have to deal with it and magically can't make people undo their mistakes or the public annoy us with their bloodthirsty demands. It sucks. But CR has to deal with it as do the members, whether you think we're soft or not. That's reality.
