The only issue right now is that my factory plug uses smaller leads for the sealed beam connectors, and the H7 connectors have to be trimmed smaller to fit inside my factory plug. I'm debating on creating a small harness that will fit the H7s and plug into my factory plug. I just don't want ten miles of wiring under my hood.

I've replaced the sealed beams on the green car with bulb enclosures, H7s to be specific. I'm looking at HID kits and it's being mentioned that a relay harness is optional for "optimum" bulb life and less stress on my factory harness. Yet, they also state that HIDs use 40% less power than their incandescent counterparts, so does this mean a relay harness in all actuality isn't needed since there is less power draw? Thanks.
