  1. I think they can still make it, but it's going to be really tight. This whole season was based on two things: 1. Mason bouncing back 2. Brassard bouncing back And they did, for a bit. Then they (and the team) shit the bed for a solid 20 games, then came back. In my opinion, they still need a top center (good luck there) and a real PP QB. Clark and Moreau come off the books next season, so hopefully they will try to re-sign Upshall. Regardless, I think we'll be thinking about "next year", as it always is with the CBJ.
  2. Good game, but still gonna be really tough to make the playoffs.
  3. I lost 60+ in 5 months, then another 20 after that. 100 pounds is gonna be tough, but good luck. Diet and exercise, there is no secret...
  4. This. Stay the fuck away from that area.
  5. My teams wins, I just streaked down my road...

    Snow

Got my cable back this morning. That might have been the longest I've had power, but no cable / internet...

    Snow

Mine didn't come back on until like 5:00 this morning. Lots of big limbs down in my yard. That ice and wind was no joke last night. Still no cable for me though...
  8. Not really a beater, it's just my daily driver. 1998 SVT Contour. 133K miles and counting. All stock: http://wease.net/pics/SVTContour1.jpg
  9. I wasn't happy I had to pay for it and that there was damage I didn't know about, but I was happy they were up front about it and helped me out with the cost...
  10. Sorry, forgot to update this. It was confirmed by me and a mechanic friend of mine that the shop did not cause this damage. The control arms were bent not from the bottom up, but from the rear back. It seems that at some point in my car's life, someone tried to pull it (perhaps out of a ditch?) by latching on to the control arms. One crucial detail I forgot all about was the fact that I had just swapped my tires (front to rear, rear to front) and the tires now on the rear had much less tread than before. So when I was driving it on somewhat slick roads, with little tread, and bent control arms, now I began to really feel what was going on back there. The good news is, they fixed it, showed me the damaged control arms (also in pictures before they pulled the old arms off), and split part of the cost with me. They are still a good shop and I recommend them to anyone...
  11. Yup, I got mine already. It doesn't depress me when I know I'll have my home paid off in 10 years, well before I'm 50...
  12. I'm not reading all 7 pages, but I know a lot of cops (a couple are close friends) and have been pulled over plenty of times. Your chances of leaving that situation with no ticket is so much better if you just shut your mouth and show a ton of respect. Why the fuck people don't get this, I'll never understand...
  13. Fuck the Steelers and Ben the Raper. Go Pack go!

    Go Steelers

The Steelers didn't win, the Ravens imploded...
  19. I was going to point this out as well. And any of those 600 - 800 salads are still far better for you than most of the meals they serve. Just go work it off at the gym, that's what I do...
  20. Well, I've known the owner for years and given him a lot of business, so I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt here. I am going to head over there and check out the bent parts and will report back. Thanks for the replies...
  21. Per a thread I started a few weeks ago in Tech Help, I had an exhaust leak on my SVT Contour. I really hate working on anything like that in the winter, so I took it to my mechanic in Radnor, a guy I totally trust. They fixed it and I picked it up two weeks ago. Right away on the drive home, I notice something totally off about the car. The back end is all over the place. I'm thinking I have a flat tire or two. So I check them out and everything is fine. I take it back to them to look at and both of my rear control arms are bent! When they called me up to tell me about it, I'm in disbelief. He asked me if I had it towed recently and I've never had it towed. The only thing I could come up with is that someone tried to steal it out of their lot before I had a chance to pick it up. The car was finished on a Friday afternoon, I picked it up Saturday afternoon. They tell me there is no way from where the control arms were bent that they could have done this damage with their lift. Thoughts?
  22. I live in the same area as Joe, Delaware zip code, but we're basically Powell. Joe and I live maybe 3/4 of a mile apart.
  23. $2740 a year?! That's horse shit. I pay almost that for my house and you know all about my house and area. I'd be pissed. The auditor's site actually has the square footage of my house wrong, but I don't care, as that would just make my taxes go up...
