There's really not much difference, but I do like how the rub strips are more prominent on the Rabbit front end. Personally, this call I'm going to say keep the stock front end.. Normally I would say do the swap because it's awesome to have something unique noone sees, but there's really not enough difference to go through the trouble. I didn't even notice the Rabbit and GTI front ends were different until you pointed them out in this thread. I just figured the Rabbit was a lower basemodel of the GTI..

Who cares.. the Veyron is still on a different level of car with much better qualities and luxuries, while I'm willing to bet the SSC is just a hunk of shit built in production numbers for one reason- Speed. You're getting far too defensive for never having driven either car, to be honest.

Does jegs carry gasket sheets to make your own gaskets? I've heard of people using Cereal boxes coated in the copper gasket spray + Tin Foil too. I wouldn't recommend it for anything but a quick temporary fix.

I think you have the right idea with diesel shops.. they probably deal with those gaskets quite a bit on diesel trucks.

I'd call around to turbo rebuild shops and pray.
