Bottom dollar on air-cooled Porsches, (specifically the 964) was 2 years ago and there's no sign of them coming back down at all... anyone who's smart would buy now. Analysts are saying an average of 15% increase is likely to continue trending. Prices in Europe are much higher than they are here and many people are scooping up what we have in the US and exporting them back to Europe because it's still cheaper that way! Also, the Asian countries are starting to take notice of air-cooleds and I guess there's a trend of imports happening there, too. So, with that taken into consideration, you also have Singer hoarding every and all 964 he can get his hands on, and you're looking at a scramble of people looking for 964s... needless to say, prices are going crazy. I'm confused why anyone would be dense

No. That's about 15k overpriced... the guy is just trying to cash in on the aircooled 964 craze. Cabriolets are not particularly sought after, especially if they have cheesy modifications such as this one does. Really clean C2 964 coupes(the desirable models) are starting to get up in the 30s with low miles and in fantastic condtion, but the average market price is right around 23-26k right now.

I'm going to agree with Paul. I would leave it as-is and try to find a buyer how it sits with the options to change stuff out they might not be interested in. I've found when listing a car, you're wasting your time listing a bunch of details because people simply don't read. A quick run-down on the car and a good way to contact you should get things moving. As much as I hate craigslist idiots, it's a good way to sell stuff, too.

lol I'm really not riding any high horse or standing on a soap box. I've had my fair share of tickets both fair and unfair. The fair ones I paid because I have no one to blame but myself. The unfair ones, specifically one, I fought tooth and nail because it was complete and utter BS. It's not the fact that WE have to accept your ideals are different, but YOU should have to accept that as long as you break the law, YOU are the only one liable for your actions. It's not the law's fault you speed. It's not some dangerous driver's fault for your speeding. It's not anyone else's fault but your own because that's a choice you make. Plain and simple, that's the only point I'm trying to get across.
-
I highlighted the keyword in your sentence that makes all the difference. Why would you pay all of them? Surely you weren't guilty of every single one. BUT, why waste time fighting ones you KNOW you deserve? Think about what you're telling us, too. If you did deserve each and every one of those tickets, you probably shouldn't have your license... you're a danger to everyone on the road. Breaking the law is nobody's choice but yours. Just like driving without a front plate and bitching about getting a ticket about it. You know what the law is, and you got caught without your front plate. Be a man and fucking pay the ticket. If you don't want tickets, put a fucking front plate on. Likewise, if you don't want a speeding ticket guess what... don't fucking speed! The laws stand for a reason, and it's not to take money from your pocket. Yes, there are times to fight a ticket, and one of them isn't when you're admittedly doing it, knowing the outcome.

Just telling it like it is... People need to learn to take accountability for their actions.

shut the fuck up, Kerry... lol This is what's wrong with people. We do something and never own up to it, and instead point the finger elsewhere. Grow some fucking balls and as stated, "Man up". He shouldn't have been speeding, he knows it, and he got caught. If he weren't actually speeding, by all means, fight the ticket... but that's not the case because he even ADMITTED that to the officer, while being recorded. So he goes to court to fight the ticket, and uses "the bad man in the car ahead of me was being dangerous.." judge will look at you like a moron and ask why you would speed up vs slow down. Not only that, but I would fucking laugh my ass off if he throws the book at him for putting in a plea of not guilty when they have him on recording admitting speeding. People have every right to fight tickets, but within reason. If you break the law, be an honest citizen and pay for your mistake. Otherwise, I just see it as abuse of the judicial system because you can't admit fault like an adult. The judge basically throws those tickets out because they ARE a waste of his time... he has better cases to work than your dumb ass traffic ticket you can't swallow like a man.

This thread is fucking stupid. You even admitted fault that you were speeding to the officer... good luck fighting that ticket.

meh at best.

No on the flash. I don't know any of the professional photographers that regularly do cars, using a flash.

Technically, you're correct.

Paying list price is for fgts. But seriously, it's almost like negotiating on a car. Your realtor should have access to records of the neighborhoods you're looking in and see the market values of similar homes in that area. Very rarily will you ever pay list price because you'll make an offer and they'll certainly counter. If your realtor is good, he should have a pretty good idea what they will/won't take on a house that you're looking at. But it's pretty straight forward, and be aggressive with offers... the worst they can do is counter. I would absolutely look at as many houses as you can, and make sure you find someone to do home inspections you can absolutely trust. A lot of people are qualified to do home inspections, but I suggest finding someone that has been doing it for a loooooong time as they'll have a better idea of what to look for and signs you might be spending some big money in the future. This can also help you when negotiating a closing price. If something needs attention you can request them to fix before purchase or have the cost of repair taken out of the asking price. Either way, good luck on your hunt!

I can appreciate how much work and time went into the car, but it doesn't push any of the buttons for me.

Everything on the internet is real, right? :dumb:

of course it's the same weekend as H2O in Ocean City -
looks more like a death trap than it does a rat rod.

I purposely avoid buying any black cars. Washing them frequently causes swirls, touching them causes swirls, hell, even looking at them wrong causes swirls. Fuck black.
