Wanted to make sure I cleared this with Anthony before posting it. We have started a GM musclecar and performance car specific forum for Central Ohio. Nothing compared to CR, but if you have a GM musclecar or performance car, please swing by and check the board out. Hope to see ya there. http://www.compgm.com/forum/index.php

It will be interesting to see what made the chassis come apart. Been a long time since I've seen a car break in half like that.
-
Definitely unique. Dont think I like the lime green on the body style though.

Hey Tommy. Whats up? Been awhile.

Thanks for all the comments. I probably wont be hauling anything more than some plywood, drywall, 2 x 4s and probably mulch. Nothing really crazy. I DO like the looks of a spray on liner a whole lot better. About $400 is what I was quoted at Ziebart for a rhino liner. Truckin, is Rhino Liners of Columbus on the street Kingys used to be on before they moved, or past that toward Lancaster? I'm not sure where Winchester Rd is. I can look that up though. I'm in Pickerington, so thats real close for me. I'm definitely looking to do the over the rails for sure. I had that in the '91 Chevy that Copperhead recently picked up and loved the look. It seemed pretty rugged. I definitely need to think about the paint warranty voiding part too. Thats a BIG con since the truck is new. I need to search for some pics of the Colorado with a drop in and spray on too, to see what the truck looks like with both. Thanks again for all the replies.

Looking at spraying a rhinoliner or equivalent in the Colorado Extreme. Can anyone direct me to who does a real nice job for a good price, especially on the East side? Also, its the first spray on liner I am doing. What are the pros and cons other than you can't take the liner out. I checked out Ziebart, but they seem to price it pretty high, I think. Not sure though, since that is the only place I have checked out so far. Thanks Larry

Ya, I hear ya. I probably will when I see them out. Just thought someone might have seen what happened. I dig these cars. Really hated to see it wrecked.

Anybody know? This Lotus Elise was in a driveway around the corner from me earlier this week, with Dealer tags on it. Its in the same driveway tonight, but looks like this..... http://www.edensgatecorals.com/wrecked_elise.jpg Anybody know what happened?

Best of luck to the team.

Truck is SOLD

Never really checked it, but I can go a good week and a half or so on a tank, going from Pickerington to the West side everyday.
-
Forgot to mention, the '91 Chevy truck has new shocks all the way around, and upper ball joints have been done.

I'm in Pickerington. If you are going to the Violet Festival today, I am not far away. If you are coming down RT 256, you will take a left onto W. Columbus St. to go to the festival, through old downtown. To see the truck, take a RIGHT from RT 256 onto W. Columbus St. and the truck is about 1/2 mile down the road on the right. Have fun at the Violet Festival and dont forget to stop by SEARS on RT 256, just South of Refugee Rd. on the way there for the PIckerington Cheerleader CAR WASH 9-11:30 !!

18" wheels and tires, lowered, ground effects and slight rear spoiler, sport suspension, silver face gauges, body colored bumper with fog lights. I think thats about it for the xtreme package. Handles real well for what it is. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Brought the Colorado home last night. Lovin' it so far. Here's a quick pic. http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/Colorado.jpg

"rebates on the backside of the new cars is where about 1/2 of the profit is made on a new vehicle." I'm interested to hear a little more about this. Can you elaborate a bit. Thanks

Check out Ohio Revised Code 1317.07 http://66.161.141.185/orc/1317.07, especially this sentence. 'A documentary service charge customarily and presently being paid on May 9, 1949, in a particular business and area may be charged if the charge does not exceed two hundred fifty dollars per sale.' The Ohio Auto Dealers Association http://www.oada.com lobbied and got this paragraph changed recently to increase the 'document fee' a dealer charges you when you buy a car up to a wopping $250. This is the fee for doing your title work, paperwork, etc. when you buy a car. CRAZY! Something that you can do yourself for about $20 or so, normally. Make sure you negotiate this down, if you can, when you make that next deal at the dealership. Shows what kind of lobbying power the Ohio Auto Dealers are starting to have. A hidden profit of $250 on every car can add up to a pretty penny for the dealership by the end of the year. Definitely something to contact your congressman and representative about and voice your displeasure.

A/C does not work. Might just need a re-charge. I always just drove it with the windows down. No rust to speak of. There are a few spots where the paint is chipped off the box, and a few scratches here and there. Normal wear. The headliner fabric did come down, so the fabric is now gone. No leaks or fluid use. Original owner really took care of it and changed the oil, etc. religiously. Here is a pic of the driver's side. Just rinsed it off a bit. http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/5.jpg And the engine bay. Forgot to mention it has a new alternator and belt. http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/6.jpg http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/7.jpg

On the flipside, look into the REAL ID Act. Its basically turning all state's driver licenses into national ID cards(starts in a couple years), even though the Feds wont admit that. One part of the law's proposed language will require all employers to verify a person has a REAL ID compliant driver license or ID card before they hire them. IF they put some teeth into enforcement, and fining employers who dont follow this, it will sure stop employers from hiring illegal immigrants, which is a big part of the problem. If employers wouldn't keep hiring illegals, they wouldn't be flocking here........ Just my .02

1991 Chevrolet Short Bed Pickup. 6-cyl., 5-speed, 2-wheel drive. Black exterior, light grey cloth interior. Custom GT steering wheel, AM/FM/CD, Hurst shifter, custom dual exhaust (y-pipe needs repaired), aluminum wheels, Rhino liner, slightly lowered in rear, great tires. No rust. 140,000 miles. Runs fantastic. Currently driven routinely from Pickerington to the West side of Columbus. Picking up a new Colorado, so this one has to go. $2750 takes it. http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/1.jpg http://www.edensgatecorals.com/truck/2.jpg
