I had fun when I went to virginia beach with a group of friends. It's more adult-oriented than Myrtle, I would say, with quite a few bars around the main strip. There are also a few little amusement park rides in the area with stuff going on for kids. I recommend buying a bus pass, they go up and down the strip to all the stores and stuff so you won't have to walk 4 miles or drive and hunt for parking spots.
