But seriously Jon before you come out and embarrass yourself on a road course I would suggest you take the car to some autocross events. It will be cheaper and it is timed. You will learn how the car reacts and can make adjustments. This is the link to the events locally. http://www.ovr-scca.org/eventSchedules/solo.asp. They also have loaner helmets for "newbies".

Mid-Ohio Course is a 15-turn, 2.4-mile layout, Not a five mile downhill straight away. Sign up and bring it out and show what you got. You can rent a transponder to get offical time.

Nathan96 is right. It is not at benifical to just donate a car to get a tax write off, since you do not get the "blue book" amount. You will be better of selling. Good Luck!

You have to turn both left and RIGHT. And to use your brakes, not just to slow down at the end of quarter mile straight run.

Hey welcome to the board. Columbus has alot to offer. National Trials opens up on April 3rd for drag racing and there is drifting going on in Dayton that same day. And NASA has road course racing April 1-3 up at Mid-Ohio. I think I saw that on Monster Garage, I think they use a Delorean.

Glad to hear the Officer was alright. I agree, drunk driving laws are too lenient. Of course the lawmaker are worry about those front license plates rather than drunks on the road.

Under "At the Track" - Road Racing Fun

I going on Sat afternoon. A friend's daughter is particapating in the martial arts. She is the State of Ohio champ and was SIX in the Nation for 11 yr olds. This includes boys and girls. Those guys fighting are crazy. Ref got knock out cold last year as he try to get inbetween two fighter and ended up taking a blow to the head. Ouch.

+1 on ugly and useless. New facia on car and not mounting holes. Doesn't look as if I will put front plate on till I am stopped.

SLOW. Getting heads back from machine shop today so should be able to put the top end back on the engine. Waiting on the oil cooler and motor mounts. If they get here early in the week we will be test driving the car next weekend. smile.gif Then it will be looking for some rubber for the track.
