  1. Pro Tip:

Jones will not think it's funny in the least.

Especially today, it is assumed that lawful adults would know better than to trespass and or deface / litter on one's property in the middle of the night. That only leaves thieves and miscreants, who presumably drove past the private property sign and don't mind getting greeted by the business end of firearm, and having video turned over to authorities.

Did you get a roomate with a gun? I imagine you locked in the bathroom posting on CR about people putting TP in your yard.

  2. i want Alexander Keiths, damnit...

I'm in St. Johns, NL right now where everyone has it on tap :) . The nearest liquor store only had light and IPA so I ended not picking up any (I like IPA but I wasn't in the mood). You would probably like Rickards beer as well as it is fairly similar.

  3. Years ago I was stranded just over the crest of an overpass (dangerous situation) and had 2 different Sherrif cars just drive on by. And yes, I was blocking a lane and had several close calls but couldn't move the car without a tow truck. Let me guess that's not their job either.

In the end do you really think these red light cameras and speed traps are there for the public good? The answer is they are there to generate money.

  4. It wasn't me. It was a little as prostar ski boat that these guys were trying to surf on with a 10' long ocean board.

LOL, the guys were wakeboarding when I saw them - one dude was pretty good.

I was out at Alum from 12:30 - 4:30 today - nice chunk of idiots there, including the moron in the Pontoon boat who about ran us over while I had a boarder in the water.

  5. Went to O'Shaughnessy yesterday and it was great except for some dumb ass DD Mastercraft. It was a tiny ass prostar or something and the retards were "surfing" behind it. It was powerturn after powerturn. I was seconds from saying something to them since they were coming 20' from my boat but I bit my tongue.

Probably the same asshole. Was it red and off-white?

  6. And my Avalanche just happens to have a very well running 5.3L in it......not that the stock 4L60E could take any real abuse, nor would I want to do this to it anyway. But damn that's a shit ton of power for that motor!
  7. Should be a CPI 4.3L - I've owned 2 of them.

It's the fuel pump, common problem. DO NOT cheap out on an Autozone unit, as they don't seem to last (not all Autozone fuel pumps are bad, but they are for these motors).

If you pull the intake, it is highly likely the plastic fuel lines for the fuel poppets are cracked/leaking (motors are batch fire, and don't use regular fuel injectors but rather an injection unit). Very common issue, and will cause starting problems as fuel leaks into the intake.

  8. Let me guess, you think a Ford GT is a GT40.

  9. LOL, I don't get some of you.

    - This is a niche vehicle, one that is supposed to be an ultimate factory offroad vehicle. This would be why they are selling these for so damn much money over a equivalent standard F150.

    - Why are idiots comparing this to a "trophy" truck? These users aren't doing what people are doing to "trophy" trucks.

    - Oh noes, they hit the bump stop. I've hit the bump stops hard in my unibody car with no damage. Many, many truck owners have hit their bump stops over jumps without damaging the frames of their plane-jane trucks as well. You don't hear of Jeep owners complaining about bent frames, and you know those guys abuse the shit out of their vehicles.

    - If this was a regular F150 and had the same issue, Ford has a bit more of a leg to stand on. But this is their performance off-road truck. They advertise everywhere with running it hard, but then seem to only warranty it for basic on-road use.

    - The damage is from a weak design in the frame. It just happes to be that you aren't pushing that weak design without running it hard. Why not just fix the design flaw, support your buyers, and make a GOOD reputation for the truck?

I think Kirk's examples are excellent and get the point across well. Yes, some people were damaging these things through abuse - others damaged them through offroad USE, but not necessarily abuse. The fact there is a flaw and a solution to the problem that should really be addressed.

  10. BS. Some may be abuse, but others have bent their frames without the abuse. The frame is weak at that point - how about they just go ahead and FIX THE WEAK FRAME? Hell, from the other post it looks like the aftermarket may have a fix to prevent the frame bending as well, which Ford should be looking directly at. Many of the trucks that bent were stock as well - why the hell is everyone buying the BS some Ford Executive is saying about "what actually happened" with the situation. He has more to gain from lying than anyone.

You know, instead of telling customers of their overpriced (loaded up they MSRP for $56,000), over-hyped off-road truck to piss off, show some support for it and take care of the issue, make the truck better, and the people who actually buy these things will eat up that kind of support. In the end, they would likely sell more trucks.
