thanks guys. the TL has an optional manual 6 speed tranny. the auto comes with paddle shifters. usually, you can only get the 6 spd in the "s", but apparently, mine is special. its got a hurst short throw shifter as well. quite a difference from rowing through the gears in the goat.

if all goes correctly with my inspection this afternoon, i will be trading in my gto on an acura tl this evening. i love the goat, but my mother has accumulated substantial medical bills since i have purchased it, and i really need a car i can drive year round. i am thrilled with the tl though, as it is a wonderful car inside and out, and im getting an amazing deal on it. hopefully ill have pics this evening. that being said, if anyone wants a last second shot at the gto, im selling for 21k.

so, i was quoted by american national insurance last night for both my cars and my condo, and it was easily a third less than what ive been paying at state farm for the same coverage. obviously, im thinking hard about switching today, but i know nothing about this company. needless to say, ive been using my free time at work to do my due diligence, but i figured id go ahead and ask cr if anyone here has dealt with or knows anything about this company. all comments appreciated. yeah, isnt that the truth. although im pretty sure bush was the lesser of those two evils. i really beleive that there ought to be a selection on the ballot that says "i refuse to vote for any of the candidates represented". not just an abstention, an actual "all these guys suck dick" kind of selection. it would be purely acedemic, just to see how many americans actually would vote for none of the candidates.
