  1. fuckin cook. badass. "what did you say about my hash browns?" "uh, nothin sarge."
  2. lol. i see youve already worked her into your profile. nice. my dad thought it was ridiculous, too, till he drove it. *grin*
  3. the cars that are on the short list at this point are... ls2 gto e36 bmw benz amg c43 benz amg c32 f-body's are out, even thought thats what im currently rolling in. that car is just too damn big. i know that some of these other cars are big, but the f-bodies just feel huge to drive. vette, probably out. yeah, i know its probably THE BEST fun car i could get into for the money, but ive never really been a vette guy, and i imagine they suck to drive come winter time. also, insurance would stab me in the throat. audi s4. man, i really thought hard about that car. ive heard real good things about making power with them, and ive always liked the subtle styling. for some reason, i get excited when someone says "twin turbo v6." having been around jesse, though, ive kinda soured on the deal. he seems to have lots of little problems with his, and little shit like that would drive me bonkers. evo/sti. dammit man, i just sold my wrx, and it was faster than an sti. as far as the evo goes, after having as many issues as i did with my galant (it was a rock in your intake, sir) and then getting fucked on a pre arranged deal for the evo, i dont think ill ever have another mitsubishi. fuck those guys. honda s2000. obviously proposed by someone who has never seen me before. come on man, theres not a shoe horn big enough to get my ass into an s2000. besides, its a honda. g35. you know, ive heard from more than one person that these cars feel cheap. they rattle, they shimmy, they squeak. i myself have no personal experience, so i may have to go test drive one. i love the styling, though. to be completely honest, if im going to buy something naturally aspirated, it better be pretty fast, or at least easy to mod. eric, i heard you. the 850's are cool cars man, but i dont think theyre for me. a one off v12 has got to be expensive to maintain and modify. remember, this is going to be my daily, as well as my fun car. before anybody hops in with a "you shouldnt let your daily be your fun car", let me say this. shut up. ive heard that, and its probably correct, but im not that guy, so leave it be.
  4. thorne, why are you getting a third car? use that money to pay off your house, or modify the monte. the monte is more of a sleeper than either of these other cars is ever gonna be. oh, and for real, dont overlook the lt1. joe, correct me if im wrong, but there are a few guys into the 9's with an lt1 last i checked.
  5. no bikes man. terrified of them.
  6. well everybody, id like to congratulate sweet8tooth on becoming the newest member of the turbo awd club. he is the proud new owner of my wrx. i must admit, i was sad to see her go, but art is a good guy, and i think hell take care of her. thank you all very much for saying the good stuff about it. now, its on to the search for a new ride.
  7. man, for money? youd have to give me like a month to practice before i agreed to that. i used to be real nice, but man i havent played with any regularity in soooo long. ben, joe tells me youre like the tiger woods of frisbee golf or something.
  8. eric hit the nail on the head. i do what i can to maintain that same relationship with my customers as well. in fact, more than 50% of our business here at my store comes from referrals. i can only imagine that it works the same way in businesses that arent cellular. (i.e., performance shops)
  9. welp, i do believe ill be in the market for a new set of wheels here in the near future, and i thought id poll the audience to see what they thought of my options. here are the particulars... the loan can be for no more than 20k, or 25k if you go through a dealer. no fwd. daily drivable AND fun. an interior that doesnt look like it was manufactured by tyco toys. (no mustangs) have at it.
  10. ben, yes, it is. and ant has said good things about the shop. im not sure what theyve done for adam...
  11. i dont think this warrants a lock, really. i mean, what, on the grounds that its a thread jack? hell, if we locked every thread that got steered off topic, wed only have about a dozen or so threads on the board.
  12. i could not agree more. if anything, let other defend the shop for you. if you are right by your customers, and you treat business with a high level of ethics and honesty, then you wont have to defend youself, as others you have done right by will do it for you.
  13. jeff, you should let mike handle your unsatisfied customers from now on, hes better at it. mikes post was at least informative without being condescending. question, how long ago did all of this take place? back when anthony was ranting about his "issues"? from what ive heard its almost a totally different shop, in terms of who works there, since then. i must say, beside my personal issues with jeff, i have heard nothing but good things since all that blew through.
