Are you trying to stay under 2k in weight. You can grab a older bimmer like mine, gut it and get it close to 2200-2400#. Make 1000rwhp and be good to go. The axles are tough, come with a lsd and people are running low 10's on stock rears. You can pick up one for about 1500 with minimal rust. can squeeze a 26" tire in the rear with some fender rolling and can get them in a 2 or 4 door.
