And went and picked up this on Sunday. 2012 Caprice PPV. 6.0 L77 LS motor (yay). Was used as a supervisor's transit car in Cleveland. Rust isn't bad. From the guy who flipped it to me said that they have an underbody wash when they park them in the winter/snow shit. It's a little rough but not too bad. Fucking thing is HUGE on the inside. I'll grab some more pics when it warms up later today.

 

 

Best part (so far) about this car is when I was driving down 71 from Akron ish area Sunday night people would be flying up on the left side and literally hit the brakes and pace me and not want to drive around me. Hell one guy from NY in a Tahoe or whatever SUV was going about 85, saw the car, slowed down and got in between me and the car that was behind me (my wife) for a solid 15 minutes. Fucker wouldn't pass me. This probably happened a dozen times in the 2 hour drive from up North :gabe: :lolguy:

I made a post on the FS section. I need 4 wheels/tires as two rims are bent on this thing. If anyone has anything worth it let me know.

 

 

 

 

Any CR folks have a set of 5th Gen Camaro wheels, or G8, GTO wheels they would want to get rid of? Need 4 of them. 18"-20". If the tires are shot that's fine I was going to buy new ones anyways. Found a few sets on FBM but they're not really in Cbus. While I don't mind driving if I can get them in CBus that would be better.

I’ve lost track the number of friends, events, fixes, deals I’ve enjoyed in my life because of CR.

 

Facebook has taken the daily traffic but with the number of lurkers I’ve spoken with in recent years at CC&C, CR is still a valuable part of the car community.

Saw this car at the Gahanna car show a few months back. Had a for sale on it back then and I "thought" it had a 5k price tag on it. Wanted to talk to the owner but he wasn't around. Pretty slick car.

So you have tint that needs removed? The guy that does most of our cars usually has a special for around $150 for the whole car. But if you have old tint in place that raises the price a lot, I have to have 1 window done on a car that was tinted a long time ago and he said $75 just for that window due to having to remove the tint.

 

I do have tint that needs removed but its cheap shit i put up and was planning on removing it before hand anyways.

Won't be cheap, but his guy Mike is good. He's done two of my jeeps so far and they've been perfect, no bubbles and looks great on the frits.

Messaged them on fb. $200 for the dyed stuff which isnt horrible.

I did search but the threads were like from 2017 and such. I've called a few places and some just won't touch the Fiero. Not sure if it's the age or what. my DIY job I did a few years ago is sucking.

 

 

 

I called some high tech tint a mile down the road and the guy said nope.

 

Called Quality and they told me a little over $300. That seems excessive for 3 windows and it doesn't even have defrost.

Tried 3 times to submit my info on the Tint Dude. Never got a call back.

AtoZ with the cheap film is $250. high performance is $350.

I realize this is just a meme, but can you explain to me how someone "takes care of their immune system" such that they don't get sick, or in the extreme case are immune from COVID?

 

I ask this because I see this phrase commonly thrown around in my Facebook community pages, including one of the anti-vax anti-mask moms on our school pages who claims that because she and her kids don't wear masks and go out to socialize with people (restaurants, parties, etc) that they are "exercising their immune system" so that it is strong and they won't get sick. There seems to be this group of people that believe that all they need to do is take Vit C, D, and roll around in the dirt in order to not get sick. It's too bad that the ~700k dead people didn't just take their daily vitamins.

I had my insurance company "total" my wife's 95 buick 15 or so years ago to hail damage. they cut me a decent check. had the back window replaced. Said to hell with the hail damage. Drove it for another 5 years. They didn't touch the title.

 

 

 

I would just tell insurance to cut you a check for what they could w/o totaling the car and just have it fixed cheaper (used panels, etc).

You should ONLY pay Ohio taxes. DO NOT pay taxes in the state you are buying it from.

 

 

I agree. I honestly can't remember what it was in PA. I know I had to spend $70 for a temp tag to drive it 3 1/2 hours and some crap to get the title notarized (extra).

When I bought a Regal from PA years back I had to pay taxes in PA, title work in PA, Temp tag for PA and then I was able to drive it back to pay taxes again in Ohio, another temp tag and title work for Ohio.
