  1. I have my in-laws old Murray (date is like 1990 or some shit). Yes I have a small yard, no I don't care what other people think. It's a 12 hp 40" cut. Gator blades. Does a good job and it takes me about 1/2 hour to mow the lawn :). I paid about $200 for it years ago. You could probably find some junker that works on CL for cheap.
  2. I know there have been a few names tossed around in the years I've been here. What are some decent places to get a set of iron heads ported/checked/whatever.

I've heard of M&M and somewhere else. Can anyone name some places and contacts and possibly what their experiences were and what the turn around time was?

    Thanks.

  3. I must have had bad luck with mine, I bought one years ago and it didn't even last a year. Went to fire it up one winter day and it crapped out. I never bothered to figure out why, just bought a nicer pancake-type one from Home Depot and it's been great.

Ya know there's a little breaker button next to the on/off switch right? Mine sometimes pops every now and then when it's been running for a long time.

  4. I've had one since 06 or so. About a year later it crapped out and stopped running. Luckily my wife bought the extended warranty and I just took it back and they gave me another one. It works pretty well for what I need it for. Like said above, running a cut off wheel sucks. Sanding stuff with a die grinder isn't that bad. I also bought one of those cheap water separators and it seems to work decent enough.
  5. Most likely the rack.

They're not hard to replace. I DO have a non-magnasteer rack that would probably work for that car if you want to replace it for cheap. I think they go for around $200 at the parts stores. I got it used years ago and never bothered throwing it out and it didn't work for my car that I was putting on.

  6. I have the same issue with my cooper tires I got from Sears last year. Took it to Derek for an alignment and before I went to him had a vibration. They balanced two tires it's still there. Haven't had time to take off work to take it back to him to check the other two.

Mine vibrates above 60 and only above 60. Doubt it's the wheel bearing since i've done them several times. I'm still thinking one of the wheel weights are off. You can really feel it in the pedal (not when braking) and in the steering wheel.

One of these days I'll take it back to Derek and have them mess with it.
