You are correct. One car garage. One is in the garage and the other is in the driveway. Wife is somehow okay with it. We honestly had to keep moving cars in and out for when were coming and going from work, so it oddly makes things easier.

 

BTW... My apologies for all the sanding noise during the day the last few days. Sanding the whole deck. Should be done tomorrow.

Yeah it definitely sucks only having one garage. Hell I have a 2 car garage and when I work on something we get to play musical cars.

And don't worry about the sound/sanding. When I'm in the garage I have the radio on and my compressor is generally running all the time too. I'm surprised I haven't gotten a complaint for how loud the car is.

We did the WAY early route. 39 and my wife is 38. Our son will be 22 in September and he already moved out last year. Then we have a 14 year old with Autism who may never move out. Not a big deal though.

So a year and a half ago my sons 99 Regal LS blew the trans. 182k miles. Oh well. Replaced it with a CL special and 2 days later 2nd gear is gone. I told him to buy another car as I didn't want to mess with it another weekend.

So he picked up Mikes (302 powered) 99 Avenger. I pulled the motor and trans and let it sit. I had Kyle (Chavo) on here rebuild the trans. I put a used XP cam in it and a top swap from a '00 GTP . Stock 182k mile bottom end, cam, some headers.

I was planning on 12's for a grand but right now I'm at $1200 or so so I guess 12's for $1200? Anyways. I started it up for the first time in over a year yesterday. First video is with the open headers and 2nd is with the cat back jerry rigged up.

I plan on fully gutting it down to the metal and shaving 5-600 lbs off it. We'll see how that goes.

There was another show on Discovery that had the two old guys and their sons and were flipping cars and such. Lasted maybe 6-8 episodes and was gone.
